sorry, but Mackie isnt up to it and as much as I love his work rate,I dont think he is what we need right now.Very one dimensional, not much pace and not the strongest either.Think we have better options

I would put Hill before Traore at the moment.

Loopy Mackie is nowhere near Prem standard. If that's how low your standards of our QPR team have sunk too then my god we are screwed. He has 0 change of pace and his end product is not good enough. I'd much prefer SWP and Barton, who may be temperamental but at least he can deliver a ball. I'd welcome another winger, I think we need one. Traore is better out wide than Mackie also.

Its a team game elnino, Sheringham didnt have a change of pace, nor did Beckham (before you say it i am not comparing them). I posted a comment at the beginning of the season saying Mackie was not good enough for us, but since his return he has shown real drive and commitment to the cause, i think he is outperforming Barton at present. OK Mackie looks flat footed when he runs but he has alot of heart and will not stop trying to win FOR THE TEAM. Never underestimate honest passion and desire, youd never see him at a bus stop at half time! Barton and SWP's form at the moment is lacklustre, they both need to raise their game, they are afterall supposed to be our star players!!

No I completely agree with you there Loopy in the sense that in terms of performance he does give 100% in every way. But unfortunately, whereas in the championship it can win you games, unless everybody is doing it (take newcastle last night) hard work from one player is irrelevant. I believed mackie deserved his run in the team, but now I see him as a player that we could easily replace.

Look at Gareth Bale since he moved from FB, although obviously not in the same league, I would like Traore moved forward in the same mould. Would inject pace up front and you never know may bring something called 'goals' into the team.

Agree '54. Traore has been an impressive crosser/provider running down the flank. Would like to see him given a try on the wing too.

I reckon mackie deserves a place in the team. agree alot with what Loopy wrote but would also like to say that Mackie will also get goals (the one against Swansea) was a good bit of anticipation and readng of the game. I am more concerned with the defence - Hall seems to be a weak link and is injured, Dyer the same, Gabbidon another injury prone defender. Conolly needs a loan out to get his confidence back, and we have had Ferdinand out injured (although he has been a good signing) as has Young. Hill not getting any younger but certainly someone the younger players should look up to. Troare is better in midfield....maybe we should stregthen the defence first before tinkering with the strikers/midfield.
