So good enough for Bolton, but not good enough for NCFC!!! #utterleyclueless Edit - Yes, by ALL means, loan him, but PLEASE don't SELL him to a rival.
In all seriousness though, that is gutting news, and an insane decision. Bolton are really struggling as well, so we can't be getting much money at all for him. Certainly not close enough to his potential to warrant selling him to a relegation rival.
I don't see that it matters who we sell him to. He clearly isnt in DF's plans , so llets just move him on. So far he's done nothing in his careet to justify the faith some on here have in him. I remember similar comments in relation to Rudd & Steer and they've hardly set the world on fire since they left.
Both fair comments and especially yours re Rudd and Steer canario. If you read his tweet, you can see that he and his family decided he wanted regular first team football.
Is he actually being SOLD. Have seen zero mention of any fee being paid, but surely we can't be giving him away. Can we?
…….Have you never looked into this boards business? Of course they would!! I bet we are paying his wages, for this loan period. It's the kind of sh*te they always do.
Know what you mean Dave. Wasn't expecting us to let him go though. I'm sure we have an excellent replacement lined up
Well the club have said we're happy, so no more business there expected. Unless you're referring to Krul of course. I think financially this looks like poor business, but I think the club have been very fair to Remi. He had as much time as the club felt they could give him to establish himself as first choice. They'll have seen him in training and the pre-season fixtures, and decided it wasn't a risk worth taking. I don't think they were then expecting Remi to turn around and say he wanted out, but it seems like they've been very accommodating. That sort of good-will with a player can have less tangible benefits. I would think that it shows our academy players that they will get their chance, and if it doesn't work out the club will help them make a good move.
I can't say I like it, but not a lot we can do, especially if a player actually wants to play regularly.
I'm not sure why some think we'll let him go on a free, that's not been said by either side. We can't accept a fee for him now because the window is shut, but there's nothing to stop us getting a fee for him in January
