Out of those listed I'd have Ramirez and maybe Schneiderlin, as for the rest I've only heard of the ex Tims the ex hun (asset, are you sure?), and the England fringe player. Your team has been dismantled and you will be fighting a relegation battle next season. And if you think your board is ready to spend 100 mil then you're even stupider than the Watford fanny.
Ha, so we have the money, but we're not "ready" to spend it? What are we, scared? Oh and that "maybe Schneiderlin" bit was hilarious. He'd be the best player in the SPL.
So you saw all of Celtic's games last season? I know some EPL fans (Mostly the fans of the diddy teams to be fair) seem to think Forster sat in a deck chair for half a season so unconcerned was he about shot stopping, but that just a mixture of arrogance and ignorance. We've become used to it in truth.
Okay, let's be fair, Forster obviously has done very well otherwise I wouldn't want him. I was only making inflammatory comments towards that one prick who decided to mouth off. But come on, it's not like you're going to struggle to win the SPL without him. And his ability isn't so great that his presence alone will earn you a better CL run. You can get some serious money for him and losing him isn't going to considerably affect how you do next season, especially as you have strength in depth in his position.
I disagree, a top notch keeper can make all the difference. Without Fraser we wouldn't have made the last 16 2 CL's ago. We are always going to be underdogs in the CL so a keeper is a good priority position.
"Good defensive tactics, an amazing performance by Fraser Forster in goal, a partisan crowd and a pinch of good luck. With these ingredients, Celtic cooked up a night on which Barcelona were unable to offer their best. There is perhaps no greater home pitch advantage in all of football than a Celtic match at Parkhead... as Barcelona learned the hard way." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...dia-label-Fraser-Forster-La-Gran-Muralla.html
I wasn't saying we would take Schneiderlin, he would be way out of our reach. I was talking about assets you haven't sold yet. **** me you're an idiot.
Doesn't quite add up mate. You're making a bit of an arse of yourself here; perhaps just hush up. Maybe see someone about the anger thing.
Fair point. It was an amazing game. How much was it worth though? Turning down an eight-figure fee for the possibility of one giant-killing?
I'd have those as assets, assets, remember the thing you were saying you still had. See what I mean about being an idiot. Jesus.
You are missing the point. I (Like most Tims) fully realise we will cash in at some stage, that's where we are, we are a selling club, but we (the fans) still want to see players who can do their job properly including the goalkeeper. Anyone who thinks being the keeper at Celtic is money for old rope simply does not know what they are talking about. Celtic keepers in general tend to be underemployed in the SPL, but you need to be able to perform when you are called into action, and contrary to the opinion held by some (usually people like Toby who don't have a ****ing clue) being Celtic goalkeeper is no easy gig.
Okay, but onto the other point I made - do you not think Gordon and Zaluska are up to the task? I rate both.
