We've just missed out on Snodgrass too, with Hull Tigers just pipping us to his signature with a 7m offer. DELIA OUT.
I agree. We'll probably end up buying seven players for that sort of money. Four of them will be pish, two mediocre and the other half-decent who'll we'll sell for £5m in a year or so time.
They bought that Livermore for £8m and he's ****ing pish. I'm almost glad we're no trying to compete with these fannies in the transfer market any more. They are working in a fantasyland.
Snodgrass only had a year left on his contract. And there are arseholes in our support who would be happy to accept 6 million for Virgil.
Hopefully that means some daft English team will give us a wad of cash for him then. Didn't Swansea or West Brom pay £2m for Beattie?
Although he does seem injury prone its comforting to know that its physically impossible for him to get a neck injury.
If Sammy does come back it will be on a lower wage than previously. I'd take him, he's a bit of a luxury at times but we'll need to spend decent money to replace him with a big striker who can play up front alone so I don't see a problem in him returning, not that I think it will happen, he won't be short of offers elsewhere.
