Id rather we got Griffiths than Vaughan or Tomlin. Agree with Anport about Bosmans. We have done well through that recently, Caldwell, Wilson, Ledley, Matthews. Have we stopped looking at that market??
We were told we were building for the CL. Getting players in to be ready to roll for the early qualifying rounds. Sorting a bosman doesn't necessarily have to be done right now, but getting folk in to be assimilated with the squad means business has to be done now. So we go out and buy a player for that very purpose who Neil Lennon specifically identified as not being good enough to get in his team just 8 months ago.
Venom , Ledley came for nothing wasn't signing a new contract, getting money for him now is good business. Ledley replacement is the norweigan midfielder or young Henderson . This is not celtic fault the epl money is always going to be the carrot to our good players, Forster and Van dyk will be next . The days of Mcstay , Grant and Burns , one club players is over. Ledley was here for 3 years in todays footballing world is good going .

If a player doesn't want to sign a new contract then **** em, accept a bid from any **** and try to force their hand ... If Ledley goes, tghen good luck to him. Tough choice for Ledley, EPL half the teams in relegation battle, Palace, Villa and Cardiff all interested but a chance with any of them they can be relegated. If he wants a return to Cardiff his agent should be allowed to sound them out. I think he would be a good buy for Newcastle, very, very cheap replacement for Cabaye!! Balde on loan to Birmingham??
Ledley has been a model pro and a good player for us. The club should have bust a gut to keep him. He asked for a new contract last May and it took them until September to speak to him about it. No good enough.
Get a classified ad in the Evening News ST. Offer to personally deliver him to whichever club will take him on the handlebars of your bike.
Samaras can go for me too. If they wont sign a new deal then we have to get what we can for them. £800k when they can leave for nothing in 4 months is good business. Shouldnt have allowed it to get to now though. They should have been signed up or sold on already. Ledley could turn around today and say he's not going and sign a precontract deal getting him that £800k as a signing on fee. In fact unless palace offer him crazy money (which they probably will) its what he should do
