Some of the comments on this thread are laughable , we don't play in front of 60000 any longer , 40000 season ticket holders who half of them don't bother to turn up . We play in one of the poorest league in europe and that's why player will go to mid table / relegation teams in the top 5 leagues across europe not to mention the double / treble the wages they get there . I actually think Lennon and Lawell should be praised for signing some of players recently , van Dyk another gem , if Griffiths is the one we sign , I will be quite happy
TO NOTE. I gave up my season ticket in O'Neill second season...Steve guppy for **** sake! Celtics short sightedness always amazes me... I just don't see the point in Griffiths...when youth are not getting a chance and some players are getting wasted/not getting a chance.
I agree in what your saying Harry, but the cheapest option available is to play lads who have come through our youth ranks, why aren't we?? Surely as the biggest and wealthiest club we should be having some of the best players go through our youth setup. If not then something is very wrong! Granted, not everyone will want to play for us due to moving home, feeling they have more chance of getting first team football sooner elsewhere or just don't like us......but surely we must get a high percentage of top young players from Scotland?
