Ki was no doubt a gifted footballer while at Celtic but was possibly the most unmotivated South Korean on the planet. Pukki was never the 30 goal a season striker Celtic needed in the summer. Again a good footballer but another case of trying to smash a square peg into a round hole.
Pukki is a good player. He needs a decent striker to play along side him and bring out the best in him though Samaras going may see him improve also, as I believe he could play his role off the front man. Problem is so can Commons & Stokes and no one can play the up front role well enough
Don't understand the need for a leftback. Izzy, Mulgrew, Matthews at a push Darnell and Ledley. The more midfielders we buy, the less chance of Mulgrew being selected there! An attacking midfielder or two would be nice, need competiton to give Forrest a boot up the arse and Samaras looks like he is off
Mulgrew is nowhere near competent cover for LB if Izzy gets injured, he has no pace whatsoever. Playing right-footed players there smacks of desperation.
The aussie fellow looks like he could sprout a Sammi style barnet , so maybe its a question of getting cover in should the pantene demi-god be off soon ?
The Aussie guy played rightback the odd game of seen him, hardly a position we need to spend cash on. Mulgrew is decent enough in defence for the league, Izzy is not a great defender, its going forward we need them to have ability so we can convert possession in to chances and goals. Heard we have been looking at the Arabs fullback and lad from Falkirk which means we might get one of them in the summer
I'm still not convinced by Lennon in terms of signings. He's had some really shrewd bargains and made good profit on some players but for me he's only signed one decent striker and not even one decent winger in his time as boss. I'm no counting Commons as a winger. He's played his best football in behind the front-men
