Town have continued to monitor 19-year-old Newport County left-back or centre-half Andrew Hughes, according to reports in Wales. Coventry City, Wolves, Charlton Athletic and the former Wales Schoolboys international’s previous club Cardiff are also said to have been keeping an eye on the 6ft 2in tall defender.

Its crazy season, linked with loads but miss out on them all and end up with over the hill has beens!!

With Leicester signing two new defenders that does leave St. Ledger as a more likely possibility........

Its possible he could stay but just as possible he could go

If he has a decent Euro then there will be alot teams after him and his price tag will jump

You hope Foxy. You boys have got to balance your books too.

We've got rid of a lot of high earners but we've lost £5m+ in transfer value by players leaving for free (and by them being ****ing gash whilst playing for us thus devaluing themselves).

Everyone gets a year's break on the financial rules apparently so do you reckon you'll go for it this year and splash more cash or go the sustainable route?

FFP dont come in for 3 season and when it does we can cheat the system like Man City are.

Our owners own King Power and Thai duty free company aswell as the club

They "invest" money into the club to spend on what they like but they put it through the books as income from and outside source. For example they could sponsor the team bus for 20M which would then allow us to spend that money without breaking FFP.

You could do the same with Marcus Evans

Even you're not not dim enough to seriously think that the fair play rules won't be tightened enough to prevent a club breaking them by sponsoring a bus for £20m. <doh>

As I have said to you before. There is no way the football league can legally stop it

There's nothing legal to consider, the fair play rules were not decided in any parliament, they're just the rules for a private members club, they can set any rules they like.

Yeah I'm sure the SPL said that when they imposed the transfer embargo on Rangers for bringing the game into disrepute.

Look what happened in the court of law

Rumours coming in that Walt Disney have allowed Eeyore to talk to Ipswich.

Clarified by relatives of A.A. Milne

Paul Jewell has commented "Eeyore will add to the morbid sense of doom encompassing Ipswich with his manic depressive ways so we think he'll be a fans favourite with the shared connection"
