if we had kept Walcott and Bale, they wouldn't be as good as they are now (bale esp) as traniing with the bigger players has helped them massively that we just wouldnt have been able to do
Theo would have been better if he had stayed with us for longer. The same is true about Chamberlain, unless he starts getting played more soonish.
Heard that we were looking to get Mikael Lustig but now he's signed for Celtic. But apparently we're looking at Stephen Kelly from Fulham
Right just like to put this point across to everybody. We have some very good players at the moment, and with KD in Goal and JF in defence and DC up front we have players with Prem background. When good old Harry went to Pompey one of the first signings was Paul Merson. Not the best player in the world but one that gives 100% everygame and can gel a Team together. When Harry was in charge of us, one of the earliest signings was Jamie Redknapp very similar to Merson Gave 100% all the time and can bring the Team as one. We would all like a Robbie Keane , Defoe, Zamora etc but I think none would drop down a league even if it is only for 6 months. We need to be looking In my opinion at somebody who is sat on the Bench in a Prem side right now. Niko Kranjcar ? can't get a lookin at Spuds. (I know he was at Pompey before you jump down my throat)
Lee is a fully grown man, which gives him an advantage over Hoskins, Doble and Sinclair. He's fit, which gives him an advantage over Barnard, Guly right now and Connolly quite often. He's better than Forte (who isn't?). It's a position where he'll have an immediate opportunity to make an impact. I really like the sound of him.

Eiji Kawashima could be a good player to go for! I remember watching this game thinking OZ would win easierly but Japan played well. Their goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima was awesome but that was the only time i saw him. Nagatomo also looked dangerous.
And remember, until the devastating earthquake, and Japan cancelling many of their football fixtures, they were the reigning Unofficial World Champions: http://www.ufwc.co.uk/ Which means with Lee we have near-enough an unofficial David Villa on our hands...
