Credit where it's due I suppose. Personally I didn't think KM had the word 'no' in her vocabulary. It's a piry the club couldn't have shown that sort of grit when arranging the Cousins give away, but we did geet a midfielder in on loan.
Diego Poyet has been released by the Hamsters. Maybe worth a punt as he is a player who needs rehabilitation, but can play on his day?

Definitely worth taking Diego Poyet back IMO, but it won't happen because of his wages.

There is a player in there, but he needs a run of 15-20 games.

Is he better than Foley, Jackson and Crofts?

Did you see how many Loan signings Bolton made last night, that's what we needed to do. To have strength in depth Bolton have added we have not, which is why they should end higher than us at the end of the season.

Dale Stephens also had his transfer request rejected by Brighton and only has 10 months left on his contract, hope there wasn't a sell on fee :/

Dale Stephens has issued a public apology this morning, after greed got the better of judgement yesterday. Being deluged by hate mail on social media also had something to do with it <cheers>

How on earth are the words Dale Stephens and 9 million fee now being talked about in the same sentence ?

It's a measure of how low standards and expectations have sunk at Charlton that we are obliged to feel grateful for keeping a kid with 29 appearances to his name.

It's only good business if he stays all season and contributes to a promotion. If he leaves at Christmas for £500K more than that would be worse than losing him yesterday.

That said I do think he has the potential to be a top top player - his movement is better than anyone I've seen in a Charlton shirt - so at least we can enjoy him of for a bit longer.

But on the flip side its a positive we've managed to keep hold of him when a lot of other clubs had their hands forced to sell. I'm not saying everything is forgotten in regards to the board as overall it's been a hit and miss transfer window - but I fully expected him to go. When Palace bid £4mil it was nice to see a bit of backbone.

Kish makes a great point about Jan though.

A lot of credit should go to Mola as well <ok> ... he could have said that £4m is a good fee so I want to go to Palarse ... can't help feeling they would have offered him a 4 year deal on a lot more than he is on at present.... plus his Agent hasn't forced the deal either.

Mola has a bit of class about him, not only as a footballer but also as a person :)

It's irrelevant whether we get 5m or 500k for Lookman.

As fans we wont see a penny of it reinvested in the club. It will go straight in RD's pocket.

It's not like the 1.5m we got for Jenkinson that was immediately reinvested in PERMANENT players good enough to get us out of L1.

Therefore... we must judge Lookman's worth to us where it matters most. On the pitch.

If Uncle Fester plays him and he helps get us out of this league then it justifies the fans calls for him to remain.

Make no mistake... he would've gone yesterday ifnit weren't for the hysteria from Charlton fans on social media.
