Brighton and Hove Albion's Adam Chicksen during the Sky Bet Championship match at Ewood Park, Blackburn.
Charlton have agreed a deal with former Brighton defender Adam Chicksen.

The left-back, a free agent after being released by the Seagulls, is set to sign a one-year contract with the SE7 outfit.

The arrival of Chicksen, 24, adds competition again in that area of the pitch after the £400,000 sale of Tareiq Holmes-Dennis last week.

Chicksen has played just shy of 150 first-team matches.

Charlton are still looking to add a couple more players to their squad before Wednesday’s transfer deadline, but the targets identified are proving tricky to conclude.

No need to be sarcastic @DickPlumb. It's not the most outlandish thing to ask for, especially as a lot of the things you have said on here recently haven't happened.

To be fair to Don, other sites have been ruined by Colin's constant repetition of fictitious transfer rumours. The clown is just full of sh1t.

There was no dig aimed at DP.

Burke looks like he has the potential to do the biz, but he's still less than 30 games in to his professional career. Here's hoping he's anything like Bale, been a long time since Scotland have had a genuine player to get excited over - the last I can remember was Thompson and Brown whilst at Hibs and McArthur and McCarthy (who elected to play for ROI in the end) whilst at Hamilton.

Been following Scotland nearly 60 years, in that time we've had TWO world-class strikers, Denis Law and Kenny Dalglish. There was the Somalian wonderkid at Celtic, but Chelski hoovered him up and he disappeared. Maybe we're due another one:emoticon-0158-time:

As a further indication of how crazy the transfer market is , Aston Villa have paid a fee of £11m rising to £15m for Bristol City striker Jonathan Kodjia <laugh>

Charlton fans at Bristol City last Boxing Day will remember this fella- he gave a performance reminiscent of Carl Leaburn in his pomp

Jose Mourinho quoted today as saying 500k players are being sold for 10m - he must have had deals like this in mind

Fox could be on his way, two midfielders coming in on loan from Norwich and Burnley. SOURCE someone on CL who has got very reliable SOURCES.

Why not just say Red Henry on CL and have done with it <cheers>

Only a complete twat would sell both of our full backs in a week, she will be doing the same with our goalkeepers next
