keith Andrews not a bad shout.... but we need
DCM - where the money needs to be spent
    LB
    CB
    and thats about it.
Im sure if we loose max or snoddy we will need a winger but i ahve hope we see a fully fit SAM and Nunez gets a game.
    Let the madness commence!

We couldn't rely on getting a replacement for Sonddy IMO. And why would we let Snoddy and Gradel go? They can't make us sell them.

You guys should make an offer on Craig Beattie , buy or loan . Never really got a chance anywhere & highly under rated in my opinion . Although in my opinion , I though you guys got a gem from us with Bessone too ( doh )

Nolan won't drop out of the Premiership and he's on about £40k a week if my memory serves me correctly. Crackerjack, we're already very strong up front so a player like Beattie's definitely not a priority unless we can get good money for Billy Paynter which is doubtful.

As far as the defense goes:

O'Brien - do trust him but he needs a dominant partner to help him out. Immediate backup.
Bromby - see above, not a leader who'll throw himself into the firing line but still a capable Championship defender. Immediate backup.
Bruce - awful player who had one good game at the Emirates but otherwise made errors in pretty much every game he played. Ipswich reject and it shows. Bin him.
Connolly - one of the safest right-backs in the division. First team.
Kisnorbo - should be starting every week if he's fit. He is the dominant partner O'Brien or Bromby needs, he bleeds Leeds. First team trial.
Lees - talented young lad who did excellently at Bury and should be given a chance to prove himself in the first five games. First team trial.
    Parker - below-average leftback. Reserve/sell.
White - decent back up for the leftback position but not worth a 46-game risk if we're gunning for promotion. Backup.
    Bessone - never. Bin him

So really what I think we need is a permanent leftback. Someone in the Connolly mould is surely available somewhere, don't need to be spectacular but they need to do the dirty work and make a run down the line on occasion. In addition, someone on loan who could fill in at centreback if we got an injury or Lees/Kisnorbo isn't good enough. They'd need to be in the dominant Kisnorbo mould to guarantee we don't have two weak centre-backs like O'Brien and Bromby playing together all season. I'm thinking Danny Higginbotham from Stoke. Played ten games for them last season; an ambitious side could get him.

Kisnorbo may not be the same player though. I think it'd be a risk to have him, O'Brien, Lees and Bromby as our only CB. Bromby has been weak tbh, Bruce is shocking, O'Brien was rubbish until he played with Naylor.

Lee is unproven but at 20, with a player of year, promotion winning season at League 2, there's no reason why he can't play for us and improve to a quality defender. I'd move on Bromby, sign another CB - like Kisnorbo, strong etc. - and have either Kisnorbo or a new CB paired with Tom Lees.

Agree wholeheartedly about Connolly. Also seemed to have an almost telepathic partnership with Snoddy at times.
