    Assiadi rather than Riviere.

He knows us and we know him.

Him and Arnie are going to be dynamite next season...with Andy Carroll as CF

Riviere is a good striker though and I think that he would partner well with Odemwingie (to replace Crouchy)
Both fast and got a good shot so our counter attack with them would be unbelievable.

Meaning we should buy both, but that'd be about £15 million...

I dont think Walters and Nzonzi will stay, not sure what they are worth combined but I think they both owe us circa 8-10 million with add ons etc. I still have a feeling that Crouch will go and we have replacements I dont think Hughes will fight too hard to keep him - Arry awaits IMO. We could reasonably expect to get the best part of 15 million combined for the 3 of them. Jerome will return and I dont think he fits in Hughes's plans either so we could hope to break even on these deals and not be too far upside down on wages with the FREE's coming in.

The media ( The Sentinel ha ha ) has us as having Diouf and Assaidi as good as signed. If there is anything but a small amount of money required to accomplish this , then I wouldn't count my chickens. If we lose Begovic , Nzonzi and Arnie this would be a bad close season , whoever we might con into joining us.

Hull City are set to make a £5m bid for Sunderland winger Adam Johnson, 26, who arrived at the Stadium of Light for £10m from Manchester City in 2012.

Would love to see Johnson come here, good winger that is English and got good pace and shooting! As we saw this season, when he is on his game he is unstoppable!

If we were to sell Shawx, who would you want to be his replacement? I wouldn't mind seeing N'Koulou from Marseille as his or Huth's replacement. I would prefer to keep Shawx and sell Huth as we have been much better IMO without the wall.

    Your thoughts?

It's a tough one really because most CD fail if they are not developed through the club or played in the league.

I hope that we keep hold of Begovic, Shawcross, Huth and Arnie. We should be looking to add to them not looking to off load them, offer them new improved longer deals, keep them happy and add a couple more to them and we would have some success.
If we let them move on then the money we had for them would pretty much be spent trying to find replacements so we wouldn't actually gain anything. For instance, Begovic leaves for £15mill, we would need to spend £10mill on a replacement pretty much that could come straight into the team, the other £5mill would go on wages, signing on fee's agent fee's etc. And the chances of them being as good as Begovic are slim as he's world class.

If Begovic were to go I think Butland would fit in well, IMO he played brilliantly when Bego was injured.

But my preferrence is for Bego to stay, he is defo the man for us.

I want Bego to stay, but if he goes for a decent fee (Circa 15 million) then thats good business for us - I would be happy to let Butland run in the team and see what he has. In relation to defenders, we cant afford to let either Huth or Shawx go (IMO) and I think the the signing of Bardsley and the 1yr contract for Wilko means that Cameron will be shifting into Defensive Midfield role, probably in place of Nzonzi who I think will be leaving.

We do need to add cover in the CD and when I saw this I thought this was the type of player that would be good for us.

Swansea captain Ashley Williams, 29, is ready to leave the Liberty
Stadium for newly promoted QPR in a £4m deal.

Michael Dawson top of Steve Bruce's wishlist with Hull City boss poised to make £3.5million bid for Tottenham defender.

Looks like Assaidi deal might have hit a snag. This is because we are favourites to sign Diego Capel for £5 million

I'd prefer Capel than Assaidi anyway but especially because Liverpool are trying to have our pants down over Assaidi.

    Agreed Nicky,
I would sign Assaidi, better if you know a player rather than take a chance elsewhere!
It's a high fee but he was quality when he was fit.

    I heard from a very
Ashleigh reliable source (inside the club) that
Ashleigh Begovic will be STAYING AT STOKE. I said he won't leave ages back.
