Plausible given our Preston chum has said he's not been injured.

I've just found out Small has left us. Why on earth would he do that? We are on the up, whereas Preston are on a downward trajectory. Must be money.

I didn't particularly like my first boss (automotive firm), but he paid me fairly for five years until redundancy. I felt a sort of loyalty to the man. I would never have had a beer with him, yet he protected us young ones during difficult times. I used to call him the odious slug, which I sort of regret looking back.

Very good move if true.
A few more players of that kind will persuade my ST money out of my pocket - IF we land them.

In the past of course we have heard things like this before.
I very much hope this is genuine interest, and a genuine effort will be made.
And I accept we won't land every player we try for. That's where a little faith will have to come in...
