Alfie May was EFL Player of the year wasn't he?
Or was it League One player of the year?

Either way,
Frankly it would be astonishing if no other football Clubs showed a serious interest in signing him.
And I will be surprised and impressed if CAFC does not simply cash in and sell him - regardless of what Nathan Jones might want.

Huddersfield is an easy story with his wife's family in Doncaster.
The worry is that I feel Huddersfield have more salary muscle.
Perhaps Alfie can rent out his Dartford mansion recently purchased.

Apparently we have a better “replacement” for may ……… :emoticon-0138-think
Need more than one to equal his goals return.
@A WUM called Hawtrey could play more games than Aneke.
Leaburn, wtf has he been out for so long? He has potential for being injury prone.
As a result I cannot see Jones offloading him, tbh Alfie should be knocking on the door asking for a wage increase. We perhaps need him more than he needs us.

The worry for me is that NJ didn't rate him as highly as the fans do. Kept subbing him early and dropping him.

The SMT will assess any bid for May, and make a recommendation to the Investors.

Nathan Jones will also have an input.

I have every confidence in Charlie Methven, Jim Rodwell and Andy Scott getting the decision right #LikeFvck.

A concern if he does not rate 25 goals a season striker.
If the keeper does not keep 20 clean sheets he'll be out of the door.

The roles of these three.
1/More grease from the tongue than a burger from outside the club shop.
2/F****** up signings more than our defence with an opposition attack.
3/ More of a mystery than an appearance at The Valley of a Charlton Moderator.

To be honest I’d be absolutely gobsmacked if teams didn’t put offers in for Alfie May. That’s a given.

The question is, what we do in reply ?

You just have to consider the facts here…..

1) The stated aim of the SMT is to reduce the £8-9M annual losses.

2) They have also said that they cannot do that on merchandise and ticket sales alone.

3) They have said that they will not circumvent the SCMP rules by getting the owners to put in non-repayable loans.

4) They have said that they will reduce losses by using player trading.

Those are the known facts. What we can’t be sure of, is which decision they will reach should a big enough offer come in and what amount of money would tip that decision.

Point 1, They'll be out on their a**** the end of next season if we do not get a play-off spot.
Point 2, Revenue from more coffee and hamburger sales will better player recruitment.
