Great scenes at Elland Road last night. A proper English football club, with proper , passionate red blooded fans. We could do with so many more of their type supporting us.
At full time last night take a look at the scenes - can you imagine any of those lads poring over Xg or posting “we are on a journey”.
Don't particularly like Leeds but they do have a big passionate support.
Horrible accent though.

I'm hearing that we are releasing club captain Saun Hutchinson so that he can join Charlton.
33 so at the end of his career, and if we sign Tanganga he wont play much.
Definitely better than any centre half you have currently, always gives 100% and chips in with a few goals - will be a good player for you if it happens - captain material.

I'd rather have Tommy.

On the one hand our team is crying out for leaders next season, on the other it’s a geriatric Millwall reserve, who couldn’t get into a MFC that leaked goals like Elfs leaks wee wee after 2 pints.

@TC (Lovely Geezer) you’ve been sighted many times in the family hospitality box at the Valley …why not make the switch earlier than normal next season, and join us in August ?

During the International break when us big boys don't play maybe.

I see Birmingham City are being linked with Jamie Vardy & Conor Coady, as their big spending US owners target immediate promotion.

Some may turn their noses up, and it’s high cost & high risk, but this strategy is exactly the way to get out of League One quickly.

Newly promoted Stockport County are signing Ross Barkley from Luton Town.

On the face of it, a very impressive coup for them.

Ross is only 30 as well, not over the hill yet.
A real scoop for Stockport, assuming there is no serious fitness issue with the player.
I would certainly have been pleased if we had signed him.

Barkley played 32 times for Luton this season, contributing 11 goals & assists. I remember when he signed for them him saying he doesn’t play for money any more, so the ideal “marquee signing” for Stockport assuming he’s a North West lad who wants to return home. He’s only 30, but has had well documented & chronic injury problems.

Anyway, fair play to Stockport for rolling the dice.

We sorely lack experience & leaders , made even worse by Dobbo’s completely avoidable departure.

Bizarre update - Ross Barkley on the verge of signing for Aston Villa on a free transfer.

Source - multiple outlets.

He made his dough at Everton before the big payday at Chelsea.

Had a quick catch up, and the truth is that nobody knows anything.

Is it true that we are signing Carlos Kickaball from xxxxx

and

I’ve heard (ie read on Twitter) that we are interested in xxxxx , is just primary school guessing.

Time for a break I think , a Charlton - free couple of weeks, enjoy the cricket & the golf & the tennis, smoke a few good cigars & relax <cheers>

Yes, this is the quiet time.
Even early signings won't appear until some time in June, and personally I doubt there will be any until July :emoticon-0157-sun:

Nathan Jones - “I really want this guy, but he’d cost £1M+, but that’s just the sort of money we need to spend if we want him”

Andy Scott - “Next !”

I've not seen him, but his record doesn't suggest he's a £1m player. On the other hand, if he's exactly the type of player NJ has in mind for the team he wants to build then he should bypass Scott. Building from the back, with a commanding goalie and CB would probably be priority, given that our problem has been conceding, rather than scoring goals.
