Just season leaburn is out of contract at the end of next season. Doesn't seem good

Injury seems to be the big question mark over Leaburn.
He was doing well until he fell prey to it this season just gone.

Don't like to say it, but if he misses more than a third of 2024-25 then I'm not sure he's worth a new contract.
But of course if he does stay fit and has a good season he can choose where he wants to go, the Club will have no hold over him.

Tough decision required soon then.
NJ and his people will have much more detailed information about Leaburn's fitness prospects than fans will ever have.
I hope they choose wisely.

PS:

Has everyone at the Club gone on holiday now for a few weeks?
Or do they tend to wait until after the play-off Finals have come and gone.

I think the staff are still there .

Steve Sutherland tweeted a photo of the departmental football tournament at the Valley yesterday.

The Medical Dept had to retire pre kick off.

Despite faltering in the play offs, Barnsley have definitely got a few players who are worth looking at . They are a fast, fit & skilful team.

Sam Cosgrove is certainly one that we should try to bring in IMO.

Cosgrove still has at least a year left on his contract so the transfer fee would be well outside our budget.

Perhaps Scott could try offering Barnsley half what he’s worth and see if they fall for it. After all we managed to bring in some real gems last season with that policy. Just consider the list below ;

He’s a very good striker at that level.

He’s also what you might call an old fashioned sh1t house player - he winds the opposition up.

I’ve heard that we are in for Bert van de Snot, a 6’8 Dutch centre forward currently plying his trade in the Angolan Super League.

Van de Snot was recommended to Andy Scott by Bexley Boy, who spotted him while channel hopping late at night searching for his favourite programmes Rainbow and Play School.

Van de Snot is an excellent player. He is not to be sneezed at. Like the new name.

We are close to bringing in a big target man striker, who isn't from this Country. Allegedly.
Let me guess. An 18 year old from Mount Pleasant’s Academy who has never set foot in the UK and is happy to sign for us for three square meals a day, a spare bedroom at Chuk’s place and the chance to play in our fantastic stadium in front of our special supporters ?
