For those of us that don’t do Twatter, any chance you could summarise what he said?

Basically said Knighty would not have a bad word about Derby-manager wanted to keep him-but he wanted to play at the highest possible level ie back in the championship.
Said not many championship-league One clubs are spending money and if Derby were happy to accept the money he would not stand in his way.
Says he is one helluva player that gives his all.

A good bit of business so far.

I hope that IF Scott is going then he goes very soon, otherwise there won't be time for us to replace him or use his transfer fee wisely.

Bristol City reject £15m opening offer from Premier League club for Alex Scott
Bournemouth are the first club to make a serious approach for Bristol City's prized talent

A cheeky con trick....:bandit:
That’s not a serious offer…. Next

Even if they made a proper offer I don’t think he’d go there. There’s every chance they’ll be back in the championship next year. Mid table with possibility of playing games will be a minimum imo.

They have barely used AS since he went there in Jan. That won’t have gone unnoticed by Scott and his agent.

No disrespect to Bournemouth, but Scott will be looking to go to a bigger club than them. AS was different, he was offered Prem money and the chance to showcase himself, he couldn’t afford to turn the offer down. Scott is at a completely different level, he IS going to be a prem player, he can afford to wait for a better offer, even if it isnt this window. From the club’s perspective they’ll get offers at that level for him next season or Jan. The only reason to sell him now is to maximise the amount they get for him whilst he has 2 years left on his contract, £15m isn’t even close.

I was disappointed in Semenyo going to Bournemouth as I still wasn't sure he was up to that level, and I'm sure he now questions the move due to his lack of game time. Scott should not go down the same road because I think he is better equipped than Antoine to step up a level which makes me think that the Cherries were hoping for us to cave in on the asking price which is 25 million and nothing less - get it?

I really think City need now to re evaluate all the ex Academy players contracts ... PRING, CONWAY , BENAROUS, BELL and SCOTT .. tie up with new 3/4 year contracts plus 1 ensure they are on a equal wage to players like Vyner, Mehetmi and Cornick / Tanner.

For all we know they’re doing that, they aren’t stupid. They will monitor their individual progress and offer deals accordingly.

I’m not sure he was up to that level yet either, the wages on offer though are too much for young lads to turn down, like I said Scott is different he will get more than 1 offer he can afford to wait and pick the one that suits him best.

From our perspective I thought we got a pretty good deal for him, which has facilitated much of our activity this window. I also think TC will turn out to be a much better player than AS. It’s also why I’d like us to try to hold on to Scott this season, the activity we’ve managed this window means we’ve a good chance of achieving our goal, although I understand it may in the end be out of our hands, and I also understand how the figures involved may turn the clubs head. If his staying here means we’re in with a chance of promotion though then any money we get for him now would be dwarfed by what we’d earn by going up to the PL.
