What scope did LJ have that NP doesn't?

Baggies fans views on our new man-

    David Christopher Whitehouse
Good luck to him has potential but not fully shown it yet our coach has decided to let him go so that's it decision made.
Hopefully a decent sell on clause.
Want to blame anyone? Blame our so called owner.

    Jim Smith
For the reported 1.3m it will be a steal for them next year. He has stagnated with us, not been given a regular run. Long term would he be any better than Reach, Chalobah, Swift, Mowatt, i dont know. Our replacement for TGH should we get anybody will only be a freebie or loan so i would not expect it to be anyone exciting.

    Mark Abel
You would think we learned after letting Sam Field go

. Sold him and ended up spending a fortune on Yokuslu and Chalobah to fill a void in that area when we had a young star already. He went to QPR and won Player of the Season.
I’ve no doubt TGH will do similar and prove a good player for them. They’ll exercise their right to purchase and we’ll go to market to sign a similar midfielder and spend millions doing so

We deserve to be where we are.

Yeah let’s just let go a young 21 year old promising player for absolute pittance

Michael Capewell i always believe if your GOOD ENOUGH YOUR OLD ENOUGH & personally the lad is as good as anything we have at centre half he's a Big Strong Boy for me I'd Definitely want to keep him plus he'd be in my side my opinion he's a talented lad!!

Check out the mood music coming from AG.
1/ when season tickets were on sale.
    And
2/ NP's thoughts in the 2 weeks prior to selling Scott.
    And
3/ NP's latest thoughts on the end of this transfer window.

RR, just read your notes on Baggie's views on TGH.
    Let's hope they're correct.
However I keep asking myself would we loan/sell Conway or Bell to another Championship club.

Yes, sorry, it was all LJ then, but not all NP now - how silly of me…

It’s interesting that there is a range of views on his best position amongst the Baggies fans. Maybe he’s guilty of being too versatile, so jack of many positions, but master of none? Hopefully NP has a single position in mind to get him improved in that area, and for me, that is RB. Tanner is nowhere near good enough for this level of football, he needs a loan to L1 to see if he can make it.

That’s a surprise tbh, as Schalke are a shadow of the side they used to be. I heard there was interest from Anderlecht, but his wage demands were too high for them.

I wish Kalas the very best.
No-one comes close to Norman Hunter but Kalas (when fit) was a great defender and I'll remember him as one of our best.

I liked Kalas, a good signing, saw through his contract, earned his crust, became injury prone and left with honour intact, good luck to the guy in the rest of his career.

I liked Kalas too, he’s still a damn good defender, I wish he’d signed a contract here, if only for the opportunity to prove his injury is behind him. Most players get injured during their career, his record up until the recent one was pretty good. Imo he’s better than anyone at the club by some distance.

    I agree Ashton.
However I don't think NP can bring anyone in on the £27k a week salary enjoyed by Kalas.
