Tinnion obviously disagreed with you. good luck to the lad, it’s good to see there are still players who don’t just jump at what would obviously have been a hefty wage rise. I’m impressed by him wanting to repay the trust shown in him.

Roy DeAlien @RoyDeAlien ·21h Bristol City FC have made an official enquiry to USL Dunkerque about attacking midfielder Rayan Ghrieb. The Frenchman has an eye for goal and gets plenty of assists and has seemed to of caught the eye of the Bristol City coaching team. #BristolCity#dunkerque#France
The biggest problem for me in signing foreign players is the adapting to local lifestyles which has to be difficult. Massengo was one of my examples as he never looked like producing based on the hype surrounding his purchase by Bristol City. On the other hand developing local talent doesn't encounter those kind of issues but the thought of all of the money invested in our academy only seems to provide well trained players for other teams. The balance of what is right and wrong seems to be the problem and if I were in charge I would be tempted to steer away from anything south of Dover. Based on what has happened in everything leading up to the new campaign I am not expecting brass bands and fireworks to be brought out of retirement but I do see a change of attitude from NP that was sorely needed to change our mantra in order to compete. Will we achieve that magical point of at least vying for the play-offs or will it be just another yawner and for me the jury is out until at least November, and in the meantime I will sit on the fence waiting for the signs.
We’ve had the whole world of nationalities at BCFC From Jan Moller in goal to Kalas in defence to Agostino, Seal and, Goater up front Plus Scots aplenty in Gow, Gillies, Peacock, Mathews and Richie and even the Welsh in Mark Azlrewood And many many more
It’s the individual and their attitude, ability and work ethic that counts, not where they’re from. We’ve had plenty of duffers from the UK as well!!
There are some names from the past that shoots my theory down. I loved Jan Moller, he used to catch crosses one handed , loved both the Aussies Agostino Seal, and Goater. I don’t count home nations as foreign, the Scottish we’ve had are amongst my favourite of all times including one you missed, our own Scotty Murray.
