If we apply that sort of logic, we should remain unbeaten the whole season which in my opinion isn't realistic. We have to accept that the team will have ups and downs: hopefully, we'll come out on top in the end.

I fell off my chair reading the first sentence! I'd love to bring in Rhodes, even at £8m. He'd still work out cheaper than zamora. I'd rather bring in that Bradford player than another has been or PL player whose happy to Waltz around the pitch putting 50% effort in.

However that won't solve anything until we sort out the negative play, we could have messi and we still wouldn't score more than a goal per game.

    I'm sure you did!

The negativity needs resolving but, yes, Rhodes would be a good signing, and perhaps a realistic target too.

Can we not recall Remy then?
If Spurs can take back BAE then surely the same applies to us.
Im struggling to find any better strikers with more potential than him in any league?

Jury still out on Rhodes. He'd almost certainly do the job in this league but not too sure about the Prem? the plus is that we could always sell him on.
Without being "flash" or "big time charlies"..we have the cash to get Rhodes. It would be more a case of whether he wanted to come or not.

I'd say put in a decent bid of 8-10 mill then if he has to think about it and isnt sure, tell him to get f**ked.
If someone offers you the money you want and you still cant decide, then your heart isnt in it.
At least we'd know one way or the other.

It could be Rhodes, Ings or even Vardy. just making a point <ok>

Better get rid of Austin then!
Rhodes would be an ideal fit for us right now. Knows how to play this league and hungry enough to want to improve and prove himself at the highest level should we move up.

****ing hell it's one o'clock and we haven't bought anyone yet. Disastrous window to date. Cesar's still here I notice, so the past 6 months of setting up a move for him wasted.

The team needs more zip that we will likely get from younger players. I agree we need experience as well, but our squad is full of that (including BZ who looked more ready for for his pension to me against Forest), but all too light on youngsters.

I went to the Doncaster away game and have watched some of the match online. In addition to a new forward, I think that the Doncaster number 7 (Duffy) would be a good signing, particularly as SWP is going/rubbish and Hoilett's not much better.

Good players suddenly enter the 'twilight zone' when we sign them...
