Lennon just did an interview, wanted a striker but said it didn't need to be done tonight. Owen fits the bill completely, free agent, waiting to see if anyone else was interested. Injury free is worth a ton of goals up there.
Why on earth would Templeton step down to that level? Of course I wondered the same about Dean Shiels.
How many times have we signed these 'veteran' players only to have our fingers burnt? Juninho, Graveson, Ljunberg etc.
Think they have given permission but fee not agreed yet. He originally did not want to move so imagine they will try & sell the dream to him & then agree a deal for both players after. Can still see Romanov letting the players agree terms then reject the offer from the huns
And every club in England also knows this though. There are clubs like Liverpool, Villa who have done pretty much **** all to improve their squads this summer who may see him as a cheap option.............then you have the likes of Stoke who have been linked with him all summer. Has Del Piero actually signed for Sydney yet??
I once hurt my dick lifting her in the air and slapping her down on it. I still do it though. Owen is a cracking goal scorer.
Owen would be a good signing if we can manage his injuries, but we have Miku on loan and I'm convinced Hooper will be off end of the season if not January so next season we could just have Stokes, Watt & Bangura as strikers!!!!!
Villa have done business, whether good or not, it's up for debate. Stoke the transfer was mooted for too long, it would have been done by now. Given the lack of activity at Liverpool, if he was to go anywhere in England, it would be there.
Just noticed McFadden is still without a club - would be a less glamour but more realistic signing. And for those convinced we need a huge figure to lead the line..........................Emile Heskey, who Lenny played with at Leicester
DUNDEE UTD STATEMENT "Dundee United can confirm we received deadline day bids for both Johnny Russell and Gary Mackay-Steven. "The offers fell substantially short of our valuation of the players and the bids were rejected. "The club are delighted that both remain Dundee United players and we can now focus on achieving our aspirations on the pitch." January/summer - sell Hooper and bring in Russell and still make money to keep PL happy
Or the cheapo free transfer: Jim Spence, BBC Sport "Aberdeen have released Michael Paton because of the emergence of goalscoring youngsters."
