Is that a dig at him or just suggesting that the player would rather have a chance of playing games than sitting in the stands earning more?

Watford: OFFICIAL: #watfordfc is pleased to confirm the signing of keeper Costel Pantilimon on a 3.5 yr deal from Sunderland.

I know we were told to expect some big signings...............

I am starting to call into question our supposed world class scouting network. It seems more like we now have the resources to afford failed signings. Diamanti and Ibarbo moved on after half a season, Layun essentially moved on after half a season, now maybe Arlauskis? Is the strategy to throw mud at the wall and see what sticks?

Although I doubt that Arlaiskis has a great future with us, with Gilmartin injured and out for the rest of the season, we did need an extra keeper.

A good signing ..at 6ft 8 he is not going to be pushed around and if called upon can go straight into the team ...Any idea if he is merely deemed back up to Gomes ? or could he oust the current man .
Think most of us would agree Gomes is a fine keeper and top personality .

I guess he is "back up," however no bad thing to have some strong competition as I assume Gomez feels he isNo1 easily ATM.

6ft 8, they´ll have to make a shirt just for him.

A Romanian too, not sure we have had a Romanian in the squad.

I´d eliminate all Nationalities we have in the squad from transfer speculation.

Didn´t see this one coming but a good signing!

Now, who else can we sign? When does the shop window uncertainty stop, so we can get on with this survival campaign!

Pants has been a very good keeper for us. His negatives are that his size means he can be slow to get down. The other is his distribution. It's shocking. He's also struggled with confidence issues this season which as left him very indecisive. Unlike last season where he was a rock. Still a good keeper though, very tough to beat from distance and wil pull off worldie saves.

QSF suggests he will be used as a number 10 or striker rather than winger.. (Guess we have to fit Jurado in somewhere still..)

I may be totally wrong but I have the feeling that Jurado will prosper with others of similar ability around him, who can read his intentions, make the runs and find those positions where he can play the telling ball. This is not to denigrate Deeney, Abdi even Ighalo, but sometimes they do not seem to know what Jurado is wanting to do. Surely the ball played over the top to Ighalo repeatedly is a weapon that should be deployed less often than it is.

I tend to agree... we need variety and more intelligence in our attacking options...

Surely the training ground is the place were the "team" should be tuned into the game of Jurado?

That is assuming the current players have the ability to be "tuned into the game of Jurado". Much as we love them maybe some will not be able to. That is why QSF is on the look out for, as he puts it, "big players" like Amrabat. Time, of course as usual, will tell......

QSF has got us 29 pts so if he wants to keep backing Jurado then i will keep backing himand the team (even when he got it badly wrong at Swansea )
