Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is expected to join Sunderland on a season-long loan
Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams is travelling to Sunderland for a medical ahead of a season-long loan move.
Williams is currently away on international duty with Wales but was given permission to leave Chris Coleman's ongoing training camp in order to complete his transfer to the Stadium of Light.
The 23-year-old midfielder has struggled for first-team opportunities at Selhurst Park in recent seasons and is yet to make an appearance for the Eagles in the current campaign.

The midfielder is set to become the eighth new arrival at Sunderland this summer and also the fourth loan signing, following Brendan Galloway, Tyias Browning and Lewis Grabban into the club.
Williams is expected to re-join the Wales squad in time for the World Cup qualifier against Austria in Cardiff on Saturday.

Marc Williams would be a good one for our defence.
But a striker, please....
Did he? I genuinely cant remember. Midfielder just not as urgent as a center half and striker.
No idea what he is like but very underwhelmed. Rather have the ginger Pirlo.
This lad is an attacking mid. Way better than Ginge. Just his injury history the problem, other wise a cracking player who improves us massively.
I don't mate. I'm not up on your level of footballer knowledge. I'll trust yours and mr Graysons judgement though, esp if he's an AM which we need
