Obviously one of the keepers is going out on loan.Kelly has not impressed, Lumley looks better to me, Dieng has not featured.
This new goalie is on a free and is cheap on wages. ...this is the "moneyball Game"

Back to Furlong someone has said on LfW that "Furlong could be a Premier CD, but is actually only a League1 RB".

That is about right in my opinion, he gets caught out too easily by the counterattack, he cannot defend well running back (which is why he should be a CD) but apparently he does not like playing CD and would therefore not fit into Warburtons plan. I suspect he needs a new start, because he has not really pushed on as he should have by now.

Rollercoaster Ranger has written an article saying how this will be the season when FFP hits hardest, due to a really big loss three seasons ago. Once that loss is off our books (at the end of this season...FFP runs in 3 year cycles) we will be a lot healthier. We are trying hard to balance the books
That makes some semblance if sense. Just.

Hard to believe.... according to the press release we now have 6, in the U23's and above. Obviously, we don't mind spending the wages - really? - but how on earth do we need 6? Are we collectors or something?

After sleeping in it, I am still convinced that SIX goalies are far too much.

I really would not be surprised if one is sold, such as Lumley, as he has had the most playing exposure. Then even if we loan one, four is probably enough for a club if our size and our financial restraints.

I am sure that the Club know what they are doing, but it does seem to be a strange acquisition.

Villa in for lumley

This would be really disappointing. None of the goalies we have signed strike me as being particularly better than Lumley. I know finances are bad, and so there may be no choice, but selling our best to our rivals seems like a massive step back.

They're not our rivals anymore, he might find the Premier League one step too far...
