Having run down his contract at Brentford, Yoann Barbet is now free to sign with any club, and the 26-year-old isn’t expected to be going too far, according to reports in France.
According to Nando Chachalana, who is well respected in the Girondins de Bordeaux sphere, the centre-back is currently in London ahead of putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with Queens Park Rangers.
Should everything go to plan with the medical, the 26-year-old will then continue his career in the Championship with QPR, who finished the 2018-19 campaign in 19th, eight places behind Brentford.

There is a Brentford connection and I wonder is there is any "fire" to this "smoke"?
Do Brentford or Rangers have any spare strikers?

He looks alright whenever I've seen him play. He scored the first goal against us when we lost 3-1 to them at Griffin Park in the game where Holloway offered out the Rangers fans as he crossed the pitch to the players tunnel after the full time whistle.
Leeds are quite heavily linked, but nothing definateNo one in for Freeman yet? Or have I missed something?
Given the position we're in this is an excellent signing. Looks like Warburton is building from the back, which is a good thing.
Same here Col. Seems the most sensible approach to transfers in a long time. Quite refreshing. Get rid of Smith and I will be even happier.I'm pleased with our purchases thus far.
