That's exactly how the 3 in that formation should operate.
Not easy to predict the starting midfield next week imo.
I reckon we were playing pretty much 4-3-3 at Oxford Utd.

According to previous posts 4 and 5 in that order. Hoping that two on loan strikers get the 30 plus needed between them to keep us mid table and beyond, however did not work with two loanees as our striking options last season.

Optimistic maybe but I’d like to think Oteh can force his way up to second choice rather than develop Brighton’s player.

I thought you called it as 4-1-4-1? Never mind, it was definitely 4-2-3-1 on Saturday, with Ball and Smith as the two.

I did, but that easily becomes 4-3-3 doesn't it?
Definitely only had one holding at Oxford.

I don’t know much about most of our new players but following this thread I’m suffering a bout of optimism for this season.
    Am I mad?

No. It could not have been worse than last season so correct to have some optimism.

So a really very dangerous situation for any R’s fan!

As they say “it is the hope that kills you.”

I've had a small interest in us at 10/1 to get in the top 6. Seems like value to me.

The most overrated player in many years. It is a relief that the club have decided to do without his services but also no surprise that there's no queue of buyers. He may have to move to a country where the football is less frenetic to find a suitable home.

Probably an average of £3 million, with Forest offering £6 million. :)

They reportedly want £10 million for him, I think we've offered Monopoly money...

It will be interesting to have a chance to soon see our formation and style of play.

It seems that it is quite fluid, which is good, as well as quite dynamic.

    Quite looking forward to this.

Objective for the Stoke game must be for our players to know each other’s names by the end of it.

We don't seem to have bought or sold anyone yet today.

Quite a boring day so far! :)

I actually can believe that the club are willing to spend big on McKenna. He represents a possible huge resale value. Could potentially be worth £12-15m after 12-18 months in England. Big potential, lots of the bigger clubs keeping a keen eye on him.
