I've just seen "Derby City"..........as angry as I was yesterday, and as angry as I woke up...it faded, i went to work, came home, then saw that video. I smiled. Pretty wide.
I think it's been shown very clearly that there is an exceptionally strong correlation between the wage bill and the league position i.e. the biggest spenders finish highest, the lowest spenders get relegated.Spending big dosh don't equal success when will people get it
Since the Wembley final we have signed 6 new players that's nearly 25% of the squad traded up and now need to bed in
In any other business such a change in staff would be seen as reckless not lacking ambition,
Just look at Quite Poor Results to see what "ambition" can bring

Blimey, calm down!QPR?? Hull spent a lot too last year !!
Think you will find at our level spirit and application rate as highly as dosh or are you saying we should throw £60 million away on a few undeserving ball kickers and go bust when they don't deliver?? We can't compete with the big clubs over the season just accept that I need the club to be here for my children and don't want it to end up like Leeds and Portsmouth
Blimey, calm down!
I'm just saying that it's been shown that the correlation between wage bill and league position is exceptionally close - obviously it's not an exact match otherwise we'd all clean up at the bookies every year by predicting positions 1-20 in the right order.
And I'm not suggesting we try and compete with the big clubs, far from it.
I'm just pointing out that without taking some kind of risk, we aren't really giving the team much of a chance to succeed.
I admire the way Swansea have solidified themselves in the Premier League, they are the absolute blueprint. I think every single one of their signings has been really shrewd business, and you could say they are putting a lot of teams to shame. They were favourites against United who have spent an absolute fortune these last two seasons. Shows how far they have come. I think they may finish in top 6 this season, evolution not revolution despite changing managers a couple of times.
Is Taribo West still available on a free transfer?
(little joke for the old school Champ Manager players out there)
he scored just three goals last season - that's half the total Ricky did in a more competitive league! .
From what I can find about him online looks like he hardly played last season, only eight games and I can't find anything about a long-term injury.
so two questions spring to mind:
a) why did he play so little last season?
b) have our scouts actually seen him play in the flesh, or did we base our scouting on videos and Youtube?
