Whilst I agree that Gozza's rant at RVW is somewhat over the top, way over the top in fact, I'm not entirely sure what it is he was supposed to have seen?

He missed three golden opportunities, including a one-on-one with the keeper!! Hes not there to mince around looking pretty, hes there to score goals!!

Most on here and AN in his post match interview were very positive about RvW's contribution! Gozza was the only one who saw a headless chicken!
First game of the season 2013-14:
Ruddy
Turner
Martin
Whittaker
Garrido
Johnson
Howson
E.Bennett
Redmond
Hoolahan
Van Wolfswinkel
We can field a better line-up than that now eh?
I Believe the only possible explanation to RvW ever putting on a yellow and green shirt again is that AN is getting pressure from the board (NcNally) to try and recoup some of the money on him in the vein attempt that another club may be stupid enough to want to sign him and get his inflated wages off the books.I'd love to know what qualifies you to think the exact opposite of the best manager we've had in my life-time, and I'm 67!
You have almost proved my point with that exact comment. We can't afford to keep trying to utilise him at the cost of being relegated again. That is just mindless to play him just because he's on high wages and no one will buy him. He has had long enough to prove himself!! If he is good enough for the Premiership why did we not keep him in the team last season and let him rip the championship apart with his prolific goal scoring abilities? He's not going to suddenly turn into this fantastic striker that we all hoped for when we signed him just because we are willing it to happen.I agree that Hooper should be well above RvW. However, if we can't off load him, it only makes sense to try and utilise him in the team. And we are a team going in a very different direction than we were under Hughton.
Sorry Dave, just to add, surely your joking right? How can you make a sweeping comment like that after half a season in the Championship? Come on!!I'd love to know what qualifies you to think the exact opposite of the best manager we've had in my life-time, and I'm 67!
