Couple of minor rumours cropping up about Dame N'Doye and Daryl Murphy. Suspect there's nothing in either of them. At least I hope not.
N'Doye is apparently demanding £70k pw from Wet Sham and Baggies. In a report Middlesborough had a £2.5m offer for Murphy rejected "next" week. Journalists, don't you just love them.

I see several clubs are trying to sign Charlie Austin at a figure of £15M. I'm not convinced he's worth that much,

This is the way the markets moving though. If we bought Hooper for £6M untested at this level and his return in the PL was 5 goals in a struggling side, RvW £8.5M one goal, Andreas Cornelius £7.5M was it 1 goal?
Then factor in the vastly increased TV deal and the fact that the big boys now have an increased onose to buy british, then 18 goals in 35 games for a struggling and then relegated side is pretty good. If McCormack can go for ~ £11M and other champ strikers unproven at PL strikers like Jordan Rhodes are touted at £10M. Is £15M unreasonable? (Its clearly stark staring bonkers, but that's football in this country!)
If he scores 15 goals for his purchaser then £15M will seem good business because that should almost certainly be the sort of return that will keep a club up! (Only almost certainly, as it didn't keep QPR up! Haha!)

Bah!

So that's us interested in N'Doye, Murphy, McCormack, Guidetti, Brady, Van Dijk, James Hooper, Mulumbu, Yedlin ............ have I missed anyone ?

Efe Ambrose, van Dijk's Celtic CB partner who can play there or RB or DM was also mentioned.

"Ambrose often played as a defensive midfielder for the Nigeria national football team and can also play as a centre back or right back, doing so in the Israeli Premier League at FC Ashdod. A ball playing centre-half, Efe is known for his composure in possession. He is also noted for the multiple somersaults he performs in celebration when he scores a goal."

Well, it was no secret in the end, but I'm delighted to have him in the squad.
Will run Tettey close for first choice DM, I'd imagine.
Though what it means for O'Neil, I'm not so sure.
It also means there should be no need to try and get Bradley Johnson back in that deep, defensive role again <ok>
