Equally worrying, Dim Sherwood is expressing his doubts about Vincent Janssen. What's worrying about this is that there is a belief that Dim Sherwood's opinions are valid.

CONFIRMED:

N'Koudou has passed his medical, and the £10.8m deal is expected to be wrapped up and announced before the weekend.

At the same time, we have apparently officially ended our interest in Wijnaldum. Quite right too, £25m was too pricey for a position that we're quite well stocked in.

 

Now that Liverpool have expressed an interest I expect that will increase to around £30M

The club wants Nkoudou done before the tour so while I was well off this morning with my prediction for when he signs, providing it's done by tonight, tomorrow or Friday morning, he'll be on the plane.

Wijnaldum at £25m is a joke, NUFC apparently value Sissoko at £35m! If these guys were that valuable they wouldn't have seen the Geordies relegated. Good players but no way near worth the amount they're being valued at.

 

A centre half maybe, but otherwise I think we are done in Transfers. All doine nice and early.

Not the most reliable, granted, but the pieces all fit nicely into place.

 

Perhaps Pochettino thinks one of the Academy CBs may front up in a similar manner to
Dier at DM. What he knows + pre-season games will be an indicator of whether that is the case.

 

Wanyama, Bentaleb, Mason, Carroll maybe Alli for a few games are all possibilities.

My not-so-bright idea would be to swap Bentaleb and Davies. Bentaleb looked good his one game at LB, and I think Davies might be a good substitute for Dembele eventually.

 

Couldn't Ben Davies is the back up centre back, with Yedlin or Bentaleb playing left back if Rose is injured at the same time?

 

Ball played at DM at Rangers last season - failing that, we could commit to Harry Winks' development

 

Davies at CB is definitely an option if a few of Jan/ Toby/ Kev/ Dier are out simultaneously, there's also this lad (on the right!):

Some excellent quotes in this article showing that the lad has a fantastic attitude. I really hope he has a good Olympics and returns sharp and hungry for the new season; once he 'gets' the Poch system I think he has the skill set to be immense.

Just a shame whichever tea-boy muppet wrote the article seems fixed on the notion that a player who just turned 24 is in fact 29 piss poor journalism as per.
