If those percentages are right, we're going to sign 4 strikers <diva>

Here is the thing : Defoe has scored over 10 PL goals this season.
Assuming wages and fitness are ok, do people believe he is capable of doing
similar next season with far fewer PL starts ??

I probably wouldn't go back for Defoe. Don't get me wrong he's had a great season but I think sometimes it's best to draw a line under a player - plus he's already had his fairy-tale return here. For that style of player I'd prefer us to focus on youth and give N'Jie a few more chances, or if not go in for Berahino.

Having said that as a back-up for Kane I'm wondering if Huntelaar might finally be an option. He's 33 in the Summer so not a spring chicken and the next couple of years are probably his last chance to make the move to the Prem that always seemed likely. Contract only has a year remaining and Lazio are said to be keen to bring him in as Klose's successor in the summer - so they obviously think he has a few years left. Might be a pipe dream but seems less fanciful than the Ibrahimovic transfer some are hoping for!

Although Berahino probably remains my preferred choice, I'd happily have someone like Huntelaar in the side. I'm coming more and more round to the idea of bringing an ageing CF in for the short term to give Shay a bit more time to develop, whether that be a loan or kept around the first team with the idea of giving game time in cups. I think Shay's a really talented striker and the best one to come through our academy aside from Harry in recent years.

For me, the premise for Huntelaar is the same as my desire for Ibra.
Specifically to have an experienced proven striker who would do the business both in
UEFA land and some PL games, thus easing the burden on Kane.

Then, a third upcoming talent who seeks to be the next Kane (F[ulham D]embele for example) .

I don't think that we'll go after an experienced striker.
Our current model would suggest younger, cheaper players who will embrace Pochettino's methods and can handle the system.

"Marseille centre-back Nicolas N'Koulou is a transfer target for several clubs in Europe."

Weren't we closely linked with him in January? He can play the Dier role as well. He's a very talented player and we could do a lot with the money he'd save us on alternatives.

The fact he's on a free this summer boggles the mind. You'd think that OM would've tried to get what they could in January.

Callum Wilson's name has come up again, as has Mario Mandzukic - the latter being seen as surplus to requirements if Juve sign Cavani this summer. Meanwhile there seems to be a catch with Dembele III: reports say Rennes want £30m and to have him loaned back for the entirety of next season. What's the name of their chairman, Daniel Leveé?

Callum Wilson would be a great signing, don't think he'd cost a great deal and his wages are easily coverable.

Mandzukic will probably want big wages and I don't think he'd be happy leaving Juve for our bench.

A fee of £14m was being bandied about for Wilson last summer, so I don't see it dropping much below £10-12m this summer.

We have had a representative at every Bournemouth match this season. Obviously, our people have not seen much of Callum Wilson, so you can make your own minds up as to else might be attracting our interest at Bournemouth.

I'd happily see the club pay that for him. It's hard to find a decent striker these days for less than £15m unless you get lucky through scouting, so if we can nab him for that then I'd be all for it.

I can only think that to be either Ritchie or Gradel, both really good players. Afobe only joined them in January so I'd be surprised if he was being considered, our former full backs have been great but wouldn't get in above any of our current four in my opinion, Boruc can **** off <laugh> and the rest I don't really know too much of if I'm being honest.

Ritchie was linked a couple of weeks ago, making him the obvious choice.

"Gianluca Lapadula's 21 goals for Pescara in Italy's Serie B this season have made the 25-year-old striker a target for Tottenham and Leicester."

    Any Serie B fans?

Lassana Diarra's name has come up again, which seems to be an annual thing, as he's a free agent this summer.

Seriously, how inept are Marseilles at contracts? N'Koulou and Diarra are free agents, they tried to loan in Lamela despite having filled their quota of loanees for the season - are they a branch of Sports Direct or something?

He'd make sense on a free, solid back up for Dier in that DM role.
