Huge shame if true, Pritch is a player who I still think has great things ahead of him. Picked up a long-term injury at a horrendous juncture career-wise. The fact that we're apparently quoting £8m for a player who has played all of half an hour of PL football would indicate that we're well aware of his potential...so why sell?

I agree totally with this. Especially when we now have the opportunity to compete on a few fronts. At least give him a spot in one of the domestic cup teams.

I fear this may come back to bite in the arse.

Hope it's not true about Pritchard. Would like to see a Spurs midfield for England in Russia of Dier, Alli and Pritchard...... Well, maybe not actually. Let Woy keep picking Lallana, Henderson and the like and let are guys have a rest.

The report says we've been approached. As far as I'm aware that doesn't mean we've agreed to sell.

I guess we have to trust M.P's judgement on this one. I can't believe he'd let Pritchard go without good reason.

This is a new one just off Sky website

    SPURS CLOSE ON SANABRIA

Roma striker Antonio Sanabria is close to joining Tottenham, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 20-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Sporting Gijon, has reportedly turned down a deal with Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal to move to White Hart Lane.

Roma want €15m for the striker, while Mauricio Pochettino’s side are thought to have reached an agreement with the Paraguay international.
    Anyone know about this ?

Never heard of the guy but there could be legs to it since Roma signed former wunderkind El Shaarawy on a 4-year deal late last night so are perhaps looking to move one along.

  9. Now that's what I call the definition of UNDERWHELMED!!
Passed around between Spain and Italy and not making an impact anywhere - yet!
He is only 20 however, so if Poch rates him then might be worth a small investment as a back-up.

I think that's probably the idea. I'd still expect to see a more experienced striker signed..

He got 11 in 30 last year for Gijon. That's not bad at 20 years old.

A Kenyan website has said he passed, although that's about as official as anything on Give Me Sport...

"I am indeed elated at passing my medicals at Tottenham. It is a new dawn in my career and I believe I will give my best for my new team."
"I want to thank Southampton management and fans for the exceptional time we had together. I will always have a fond place for them in my heart."
    -Victor Wanyama.

That's according to the ever-reliable Soka25east website. I'm sure it's on all of your favourites, anyway.

Based on Adebayor, perhaps Spurs are doing due diligence on whether Wanyama family
members have voodoo effigies of him, or he owns a Zuni warrior doll.

I'm sure someone signing Kane at the beginning of the 2014/15 season would have been similarly underwhelmed.

Antonio Sanabria has apparently signed for 12 mill.

  19. Fair point.....But I wouldn't draw too many comparisons otherwise, as there are clear risks around a Paraguayan lad who didn't make it at Barca, went to Italy in a very strange deal, but appears not to have settled there either and has ended back in Spain with Gijon. Big question mark to then move to the EPL I would suggest, but as I indicated originally, probably worth a punt at the numbers quoted.
And according to Italian footie press this evening it's a done deal at €12m..... As mentioned by DGC above.... <laugh>

For those wondering. Still no official word from the club though.

    Could be photoshopped I suppose.
