In the meantime, Sissoko should be given a hard hat and a fluorescent jacket and put to work at the new stadium site. Might as well make use of him. He's excellent at running in a perfectly straight line so perhaps he'd make a decent bricklayer. We could throw in bonuses for excellent performance like two Mcvities with his tea, maybe even print his name on the back of the jacket.

De Bie played his second game tonight, as the youngsters faced Stevenage in the FAYC.

Still no clean sheet for him, unfortunately:

6-2 on his debut, 10-1 in his second game. 14-0 for his next one? <laugh>

The home-grown striker, 23, is the current Premier League Golden Boot holder after scoring 25 goals in the top flight last season - a Club record haul for one player in an individual Premier League campaign - and was one of four Spurs players named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for 2015-16.
After rising through our academy, Harry made his first team debut against Hearts in the Europa League in August, 2011 and he has since gone on to score 70 goals in 137 appearances in our colours.
Born locally in Walthamstow, Harry has also established himself as a senior England international over the last two years, memorably scoring just 79 seconds into his Three Lions debut against Lithuania at Wembley in March, 2015. Harry represented England at Euro 2016 and currently has 17 caps and five goals to his name.

Ajax coach Peter Bosz says that Riechedly Bazoer can leave in January.

There's a couple of reasons I bring this up: firstly because he was linked in the summer, and secondly his style of play is remarkably similar to a certain French player we have on the books. When you consider Bazoer is 19 and on £7k p/w at Ajax, as opposed to 27 and on £80k p/w at Spurs, you can probably figure where I'm going with this...

As we've been told by every pundit under their youth coach that the Eredivisie is crap, a swap deal could be good for SIssoko. He might even get a few assists!

Fiorentina are the latest Serie A team to be linked with Sissoko

Some sort of swap deal involving Milan Badelj would be pretty goddamn good.

Tom Carroll's once again linked with a move away, this time to Swansea - although we've slapped a £10m price tag on him.

I remember reading something a few months back that Poch really likes Tom as a person, apparently he's well liked around the squad and so that's possibly why he was offered and eventually signed the new deal in the summer. Perhaps Tom realistically knows that he won't play for anyone better than Spurs and would likely struggle to make a top ten side's XI so it made financial sense to stick around and pick up £20k+ a week here than leave and pick up £10k-£15k elsewhere. Maybe he's also a massive Spurs fan so is just happy to be involved with the club? It's safe to say all of us would trade places with him if it were possible!

If Swansea do want him then I hope the club lower that supposed valuation if he wants to go there, we owe it to him really. He's never been any trouble and despite not being at the level we'd like him to be, he's always given his all for the club when played.

Spot on SOS, little Tommy is immensely popular with everyone at the club, such a pity he may have to move elsewhere to get regular football. As you say, he's never caused one single problem, he' s a really nice guy.

Technically if you don't grow facial hair then you cannot be shaven, clean or otherwise.

Lucky sod. Shaving is something I really hate. I would grow a beard but it looks awful on me.

For whatever reason, we're being linked with a bid for Ross Barkley - although it says a lot that some sources assume it will be a January move while others think we'll hold off until the summer, due to Barkley having eighteen months left on his contract.

This rumour makes little sense to me, simply because I cannot see what he offers that we don't already have: he's not as good as Dembele, and while it's fair to say he is better than Winks at this moment in time it is equally fair to point out that Barkley is in his fourth season of regular first team football while Winks is still breaking into the side, and for positions higher up the pitch it starts to get into the realm of paying £35m for someone to give Eriksen and Alli a kick up the backside for fear of being dropped - at which point the story unravels, as we're not a club who can chuck £35m on a player to get the first team regulars to perform.

When you compare Barkley to someone like Youri Tielemans (because I am not letting that one go!) you can see what Tielemans offers, as he's a hybrid of Dembele and Huddlestone, which would add something to the team. On the other hand Barkley doesn't really do anything different to players we have in that position, which is why a bid makes little sense to me given the price tag involved.

Barkley's a talented enough player, but he's inconsistent and hasn't really improved enough in the last couple of years.
I suspect that his agent's attempting to negotiate a new contract with Everton, so he's chucked this out to pressure them.
The timing's about right and it seems like a pretty unlikely move, to me.
