    Which is odd, as a quick glance at their squad doesn't suggest that they're overloaded with HG players.
    Their rules differ slightly, of course, but you'd have thought that they'd be a bit pissed about Pique missing out by about 10 minutes.

    They are not pissed about anything but the home unions usually insist that they are given no special privileges from having seperate FAs....look at the fuss about having a UK team in the Olympics.
    I just don't see why Wales should expect some sort of special treatment. It's bad enough that they allow their clubs to play in the English leagues.....

    Messi, Griezmann, Busquets, Alba, Roberto, Firpo, Rafinha and Alena all count as HG, so they haven't quite reached the point of having to sign Isco or Illarramendi to pad out their HG numbers

    Wales doesn't get any special treatment.
    Treating a player in the English pyramid like someone from the French pyramid isn't special.
    Their principality isn't penalised. Quite the opposite, in fact.

    While there's no doubt his Jack Rolesian stats say a lot about the quality of Greek youth football, the quality of his suitors also says a lot: Atletico Madrid, Ajax, Sevilla, Lazio and...well, us, obviously

    And just in case Danny Rose is curious, I have proof that he exists...

    I honestly don't know how the whole HG/CG thing works but Pique was with Barca for 7 years before he came to us.
    Would that count in his status?

    Monaco isn't a member of UEFA and therefore doesn't nominate its clubs for UEFA competitions so it isn't a parallel.

    You have to spend three seasons registered with a club from that FA from the ages of 15-21.
    Pique was at Barca between the ages of 10-17, so he misses out by a year.
    Having a quick look though, he was loaned to Zaragoza for a season, so I think he might actually count. Hmm...
