Yeah....how could I forget !! You'll be pushing top 4 next season.....I just doubt very much it will be because of Hojberg. All the best though
All we need is for him to be better than Winks & Sissoko (whilst ideally being able to tackle to a respectable level) and he'll be a successful signing for us. The bar is that low.
Sometimes not the greatest player turns out to be the missing piece as they work well with those around them. Hopefully he could be that for us. Hope KWP does well for you. Shame he was not given the opportunity many of us wanted him to get.
Lots of people think Jordan Henderson is bang average but Liverpool are a much better side when he plays.
Ex Man U player Nani got his team Orlando to the Final. Two goals and some bullcrap to everyone. The opposing manager,Adrian Heath, suggested to the ref at water break to give his whistle to Nani!
That's very true...true fans wish for him to succeed. As for KWP, very impressed so far. Hungry to play and can improve (make us money as we sell all our talent).
We all know Hojberg isnt going to be spraying the ball around, technically he isnt great (still way better than Sissoko) but hes going to be a cracking signing for us imo. Hes a grafter, a leader and he tracks runners until his life depends on it which Winks and Sissoko just dont do. Jose wants our team to be more C@#t like and that's what he is to the oppo. His arrival will perfectly complement our technical players in Lo Celso, N'Dombele, Dele and Gedson.
There’s some interesting rumours coming out of Italy (be great if true) that we’re trying to sign Skriniar without doing a swap for Tanguy. That’d be a real big balls move by the club to do that. I said when Jose signed something I’d look forward too is his pull in the game and that’s a player who’d fit that ‘big signing’ criteria. Only problem is, I’m not sure we have the funds. He’s likely to cost between £40m-£50m and considering that after Hojbjerg well be needing a RB and ST at the very least, it’s tough to imagine we'll have the dough to get Skiniar too. In fairness, net outlay on Hojbjerg being around £3m is nothing plus the sale(s) or Aurier and/ or Foyth should cover the cost of a new RB. But a new striker will likely set us back circa £20m and then a following £40m-£50m on Skriniar if our interest be genuine. Not sure we’ll have a rough £70m net spend this window thanks to covid, would love to be wrong as Skriniar is better than any of our CBs.
Completely Batshit Rumour Watch Murdoch's Hate Comic have linked us with Ainsley Maitland-Niles with a rumoured price of £30m Annoyingly, he's contracted until 2023, so the obvious suggestion is off the table... Kim Min-jae Watch ...remember him? The Pathetic report that South Korean national coach Paulo Bento personally recommended KMJ to us, knowing his strengths and also knowing what the ubermensch tends to look for in a centre back Saved you £10 there...
Not in a million years and for so many reasons. 1. Was a twat when he left. 2. Has played next to no football in a year. 3. Seems to have lost his hunger for the game. 4. Family settled and very happy in Spain. 5. Will refuse the massive pay cut (even though he'll still be on an eye wateringly huge wage). 6. Seems intent on pissing Madrid off and milking them for every penny. 7. Not sure his body can cope with the weekly, possibly twice weekly demands of English football. 8. Will not play in Europa league.
Been regurgitated every window for like 2 years now, lol. Won’t happen. The finances are just way too crazy for us/ him/ Real to reach a compromise.
Why would he take a pay cut in a loan move. We pay 200k per week and that is a saving for Madrid. They'd pay the rest. Agree with the other points.
