And Bayern's general dominance, due to their financial advantages over everyone else. Munich made €660m last season. Dortmund had the next highest revenue in the Bundesliga at €377m. Schalke were in 3rd with €325m, less than half of Bayern's money.
Yeah that’s true but in essence they have approached the whole concept of modern football better than we have in England with the whole 50 plus 1 scheme and ticket prices being frozen etc etc
Also they had the benefit of bulldozing their way through the lower tiers to build momentum, which is what Fulham were doing twenty years ago (and nobody seems to be willing to acknowledge Bournemouth did in the past decade...)
Which both of those clubs are trying to destroy. That's why Hoffenheim's owner is getting abused every week and everyone hates Leipzig. They're false clubs backed by a ton of outside money, by the German understanding of the game. I make them right.
When I went Dortmund a couple years ago, the year Kane and Son scored, there were loads of Dortmund fan stalls that sell the typical club merchandise that had scarves of "**** RB Leipzig" for sale. The hate out there for RB is very real.
It's nothing compared to the hate that RB Salzburg get in Austria In the case of Leipzig, they entered a "partnership" with fifth-tier SSV Markranstadt - although said "partnership" only came about after St Pauli, 1860 Munich and Fortuna Dusseldorf all told them to sich verpissen when the Taurine Empire attempted to just buy their way into the upper tiers of German football Salzburg, on the other hand, not only had them buy top tier Austria Salzburg but eradicate them from history to do so, for example the club's official website doesn't list a single honour before the Taurine Empire took over in 2005 even though the club had five league titles and a UEFA Cup final to their name, and their response to Austria Salzburg fans being rightly upset at the club being airbrushed from history was to issue glasses with white and purple-tinted lenses, the colours of the team they were erasing from history, which tells you all you need to know about the operation while also putting the Leipzig Twitter feed into context So, in short, I hope some of our fans take these flags with them next week please log in to view this image ...and while they're at it, sing the Japanese anthem
Lille Bring & Buy Sale Watch Lille coach Christophe Galtier has said to Le10 Sport that he expects striker Victor Osimhen will leave this summer...although he also had to drop in that he expects Barca and/or Los Ladrones to be looking at him, in the usual attempts to drive up the price Considering he's got four years on his contract, and while his scoring rate of 13 in 26 so far this season is impressive it has to be stressed that prior to that he scored 12 in 25 for Charleroi and 0 in 14 for Wolfsburg he isn't the surest bet. If we intend to have him understudy Harry Kane that negates some concerns, but then the asking fee becomes a concern - unless we offer a combined fee of (for the sake of a number) £70m for Osimhen and Soumare, as that gets us two players we need while also giving us some negotiating room that we may well need if we're also after Luis Campos
His 14 appearances for Wolfsburg were when they were **** and he was mainly a late, late sub, to be fair. He played two full matches, one half and a bunch of sub-10 minute introductions, including two of a minute.
Work Permit Watch According to Mondo Primavera we were set to sign 16-year old Romania left back Kevin Ciubotaru following a successful trial, but to the surprise of nobody a 16-year old Romanian is a bit of a bugger to get a work permit for even though he was born in Italy and spent four years in Rapid Vienna's youth system before being released last year Because of this, and because Priti Patel didn't think it was worth bullying yet another member of Home Office staff to help us out, Ciubotaru is currently having a trial with Parma
One national paper is linking us to the Norwich winger Cantwell , he should be nicknamed carpet cos he's always on the floor , horrible moaning individual, a big no from me
He's an Arsenal fan, apparently. Explains the moaning and diving. Good player, though. We could do a lot worse than raiding Norwich in the summer for a bunch of their young players if they go down. Cantwell, Aarons, Godfrey and Lewis all look like they've got a lot of potential. Pukki wouldn't be a bad shout, either.
I wouldn't say no to any of them, especially Aarons. Godfrey and Lewis would also be high on a list of priorities between them all. Ironically the player I've enjoyed watching the most, Cantwell, would be bottom of that list as he's not someone we essentially need unless we sell one of Lamela/ Lucas and even then he'd still not be as crucial a signing as the three defenders.
Cantwell, Godfrey and Aarons in a triple swoop would go a long way to rebuilding this tired Spurs squad.
This post was from 13th May. Spurs really need to hire me (just ignore the bit where I say Ndombele and Sissoko are similar ).
