From Vitoria's own website (via Google Translate)

Vitória Sport Clube, Futebol SAD informs that it has reached agreement with Tottenham for the definitive transfer, with pass sharing, of athlete Marcus Edwards.

The 20-year-old signed a contract valid until 2023, with Vitória holding 50% of his economic rights. The agreement also provides for a €15 million termination clause.

Last season Marcus Edwards was handed over to the Dutch Excelsior, where he held 28 games and scored two goals. From his record he has a European Under-19 Championship, won against Portugal in 2017.

On other words, if there's any interest in him next summer that'll put €7.5m in our coffers

So there we have it. All over. Poch says he'll be throwing a party tomorrow to celebrate the window closing.

Overall, I am pretty happy with how the window panned out. Can't complain that we didn't make any money on Toby or Eriksen if no one put in a bloody bid for them. There are still plenty of question marks remaining though, and all of them will need to be managed very carefully by Poch if he is to achieve the squad harmony he clearly craves...

    - Will Eriksen sign a new deal?
    - What are his plans for Wanyama, Rose and Aurier? Is there a way back for them or is he done?
    - Do we have a clear plan of action for the U23's?

Window closed now so it's over to Poch

He can't blame bizzare selections and a failure to learn from the past on anything for the foreseeable future.

However I don't see how the internal issues in the background have been solved. Eriksen is still leaving since he isn't signing so I'm fully expecting the negative attitude to reappear somewhere down the line.

It doesn't sound that bad, given that it's common for clubs to completely ostracise players and have them train with the kids. Being told your future is uncertain is part of life for lots of employees all over the world. If Mauricio Pochettino writes another book, I'll bet what's left of my hair that he doesn't share Trippier's view.

If he was to be honest with himself, he was bloody awful in the second half of last season, giving away goals for fun and his attitude was even worse. Every goal he gave away, he blamed someone else with plenty of throwing his arms up in the air and looking at others. I've heard that his attitude wasn't appreciated by a number of his team mates and Mauricio Pochettino hates players not accepting their own failings.

He's a talented player but the price at which we sold him and the lack of 'Levying' over that price indicates how keen we were for his departure.

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Today, I'm going to be optimistic.

If he wants to move to a club bigger than us, he needs to be showing that he can make their team. So, even if he does leave, we'll probably get something decent out of him up to December/January.

However, once the next window opens, he'll be **** again. He doesn't have the mindset to block out the issues surrounding contracts and transfer possibilities. Best we don't overplay Lo Celso before January. He's going to need to be ready and raring to go.

Trippier is whining...another version of that story is that a highly paid footballer let a good world cup go to his head...another could be that he wanted a new deal and the club had doubts...and another could be that he played atrociously from September onwards and did not deserve a guarantee of a starting place or new contract.

Tbh...he is old news...as we are to him ... he should move on instead of acting like jilted 14 yr old

It's good news if they're back in the fold and perform well for you this season.
It's bad news if they're running down their contacts and just biding their time until they're off in January or July.
Alderweireld doesn't look to be a problem to me - he was touted to be moving on last summer, but is still there.
It's a bit more uncertain with the other two.

I think Sunday showed that whatever contract issues there may be, all will get their head down and graft.

Vertonghen said in the summer he’d sign a new deal if offered so I hope the club do so. Whereas there’s a lot of rumours that Toby will now sign a new deal. Eriksen’s the only one I think we have no chance of persuading to stay, as much as I’d love him too but having him here this season is crucial for us, especially as it relieves the instant pressure on Lo Celso to replace him now.

It will be super bad news if all three move on for free, ripping out the core of your team and not qualifying for the cl.

If all three sign new contracts and you dont qualify that would be better although not ideal. Likewise if all 3 leave and you qualify for cl that is still a pretty good ending as you arent really missing out (provided you could quantify their help).

Yeah losing all three in one go would be a kick in the bollocks but I think there’s a good chance both CBs will sign on so long as Poch doesn’t go back to his brainfart selections and continuously leave Jan out.

In case anyone asks, he was on the books at West Scam between 2014-19, so he's not another Musa Yahaya

    Sessegnon Watch
While this may be bollocks, as Murdoch's Hate Comic is the only source for this, we're apparently considering a move for Steven Sessegnon

If it did happen, that would mean two Sessegnons in the first team and two Craigs in the U18s - in other words, we done ****ed up by having just the one Shashoua in the U23s...

Apparently Barca wanted Moura...they couldn't afford the £45 mill asking price

    A few things if true

Hello Poch...can we use this player a bit more if he's good enough for Barca he's good enough for us.

We were willing to sell and replace with who??
