A loan and new contract for Georgiou. The loan I understand, the new contract however is a bit weird. 22 now and has only played a few minutes for the first team against Apoel in the Champions League the season before last.

A couple for this

First is the questionable one, as Football BSider claim that Marcus Edwards has demanded he be allowed to leave this month...although the complete lack of sources or quotes makes this highly dubious. Do I think Edwards is not long for the club? Definitely. Do I think he issued an ultimatum? Definitely not, he'd be laughed out of Levy's office

Secondly, and a tad more credible, is the reports mainly emanating from Goal suggesting that Poch has lost faith in Big Vic. This certainly sounds more likely, considering what we saw from him last season was a pale imitation of the player from a couple of seasons prior due to his long list of injuries, and with Oliver Skipp seemingly taking his spot in matchday squads it certainly indicates that Poch is looking past him for options in his role

 

Coutinho completes his loan move to Bayern. That leaves Eriksen with 2 clubs to move to. Maybe 3.

Rumours in Belgium suggest that Brugge are considering a loan move for Big Vic, with the club gambling on unlocking the financial benefits of reaching the CL group stage that's already seen them sign Simon Mignolet

 

I hope that he gets something from a decent club and can get some meaningful football. His time with us is at an end, unfortunately.

So this week's borderline unpronounceable name to be linked with us is Rennes' 16-year old midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who shot to prominence at the weekend in Rennes' 2-1 win over PSG, with him keeping PSG's players in his pocket for most of the game before getting the assist for the winning goal

Of course, the usual suspects are also linked with him, and given his age and the fact he's contracted until 2022 he's a transfer auction waiting to happen...but then again, how many players did I say that about during the summer only for the auction to not materialise as clubs are now fighting it out over loan moves?

It's not a surprise considering our U23 squad is overloaded this season, with the OS listing 32 players in the squad this season (which includes the five out on loan) so the odds are a few more will be loaned considering the last couple of seasons have seen players stagnate at that level
