I've seen claims that £25m is a low buyout price, but since it only applies for one season it looks pretty pricey to me. If you want to give him a three year deal at £150k per week then it effectively doubles the cost.
Posts on Insta or Facebook don't represent commitment. Signing a new contract does, and even that is debatable in this day and age. The key factor here is as likely to be Levy's reluctance to lose him on a free and Poch's reluctance to use players who aren't fully on board, as it is the player's own demands and aspirations.
Yeah we got linked with him earlier in the window too. Strange one though as Utd seem desperate for him and would’ve thought they’d have tied a deal up by now.
They’ve clearly switched their attention to Dybala, so maybe Levy is swooping in? Or maybe it’s more guff to push the Lo Celso deal through.
Lo Celso Watch Rough (i.e. Google) translation: Tottenham formalizes the signing of Giovani lo Celso, for which he will pay Betis the not insignificant figure of 55 million pounds sterling (about 60.25 million euros). The club that trains Rubi does a great deal (nefarious PSG) but loses an excellent player.
Assuming he doesn't pick up an career-threatening injury in the interim or his form goes down the toilet.
Fernandes scored 32 goals and got 18 assists in all competitions last season, which is ridiculous. I thought he was Utd bound as a Pogba replacement, though.
It's probably the latter tbh. I thought Fernandes was on the market for even more than Lo Celso so this is likely another smokescreen to make Betis sweat. United do seem to be bogged down with Dybala and trying to sort out Pogba's future but we move so fecking slowly they'll have time to take Lukaka out to watch the entire Avengers franchise before we so much as bid for Fernandes.
Bournemouth are being linked with Wanyama. Seems unlikely. Brooks has an ankle injury that'll keep him out for months, so they made need midfield reinforcements, but they're very different players.
Dan Kilpatrick is running with the Fernandes story now too. He's not the most ITK out there but rarely tweets ****e for the sake of getting clicks. Looks like this has legs. In other news, I think I age 10 years every transfer window and my productivity at work plummets by 95%.
Exodus Watch The Daily Ma...oh crap Anyway, since I got started, the Daily Wail are reporting that Bournemouth are preparing a bid for Big Vic As in paying money to sign him. Permanently. In spite his knee problems.
I actually think they’re very, very similar and Bournemouth are making an extremely smart decision to sign him, they should speed the deal up and just avoid the medical before anyone else comes in for him...
The telling thing is they signed Philip Billing from Huddersfield last week, and as he can best be described as a Danish Dembele it sort of makes sense for them to try and replicate the Dembele/Wanyama pivot from a few seasons ago (before injuries wrecked that whole thing, anyway)
I enjoy the transfer windows. It's the matches that kill me...yet more often than not eventually make me feel like some magical elixir is coursing through my veins.
