The issue is whether you believe hack gossip about who Spurs are/were in for, or have interest in. On that front, when the windows close I want the club to publicly announce when they have not approached a club for the list of players that hack gossip spouted. But then again, those afflicted with Harry Hotspur-itus will just go full retard on particular players on that list ...
Im not moaning at the club...I'm all for what Poch said. But if we want to sign someone then we need to sign rough diamonds...once they have been polished then the big money spenders barge in. So going back to my original point...we have to take the risk..we don't buy a finished article therefore if for example Barros becomes the player who is ideal for us then I can see someone like City buying him to replace Fernandinho we can forget about 'going back in for him' Every signing is a risk...good players don't fit in sometimes.
Then your issue is the ability to identify the "rough diamonds" . If Barrios is one such, then the great majority of PL clubs have made the same error as Spurs in failure to identify. "Every signing is a risk...good players don't fit in sometimes." What are the material consequences to a club if that happens ?? When it happens frequently (or at least well above the PL club average) ??
I'm not sure about Barrios' mentality. He's a bit wild and overly aggressive. That's fine if it's something that can be worked on, but probably not great if it spills out off the field.
Well there's another one to (probably...) cross off the summer rumour mill Just a reminder: **** Bayern
Ebere Eze. Levy, do it. We appear to have missed out on a gem in Brooks. I doubt Bournmouth would let him go now. Wouldn't mind us sweeping up a few younger homegrown players and putting them through the Pochettino machine, if I'm honest.
Eze was on loan at wycombe he's a very talented player scores goals but that's not all he has some tricks up his sleeve as well ,well worth a punt in my opinion .
His name has seemingly come out of the blue, had never heard of him before until a few days back and I'm often quite well up on young English talent, done a bit of reading up on him plus the standard YouTube search, looks quite a tasty player. Certainly wouldn't be against taking a punt, that's often the type of player we turn into a star.
He's been low key linked with us since late last season (low key as in HITC, 90mins and FootballFanCast don't run the story for weeks on end like they did with, say, Jarrod Bowen) - although the £10m fee blogs keep quoting sounds fanciful In other news, I've seen suggestions online that Jack Roles is stalling on a new contract, hence he isn't training with the first team or being considered for a spot on the bench even though he's the closest our U23s have to Dele Alli
Cant say I blame him. He’s 20 soon and not had a look-in despite impressive form for years now. I know the injuries haven’t helped him but you’d have still thought he’d have at least been given a chance by now.
He is strong on the ball his close control is superb can pass with both feet and is very good at going past 2 or 3 players with ease and has scored some cracking goals.just the type of player poch would like

Berge Watch ...he's been out since mid-January with a calf injury, because of course he has Italians Do It Better Watch I haven't seen a splurge like this since Baldini was (briefly...) given access to the club's cash, because so far this week CalcioMercato and TuttoSport have linked us with... Ivan Perisic (30yrs old, left winger, Inter) James Maddison (22yrs old, attacking midfielder, Leicester) David Brooks (21yrs old, centre midfielder, Bournemouth) Adrien Rabiot (6mths old, pain in the arse, PSG) Donny van de Beek (21yrs old, central midfield/attacking midfielder, Ajax) Carlos Soler (22yrs old, central midfielder/right winger, Valencia)
Yes please. No thanks. YES PLEASE. Yes please so long as he banishes his dickhead entourage, even if that does include his Mum. I like Donny but he needs another season or two at Ajax, with Frenkie leaving in the summer he'll be needed to step up. Unsure, never seen him play.
Scandi Watch CalcioMercato are reporting we've met with Sampdoria officials to discuss a summer move for Joachim Andersen
It's being suggested that we bid £27m for Mitrovic in the window that just closed. It's hard to see that as being likely. He's never going to be let go by Fulham.as he's their main source of goals. He's yet another non-home grown player and we've got Vinnie back (whther MP wanted him or not?) Plus, there's no love between Joe Lewis/DL and Shad Khan over the NFL issue and the proposed purchase of Wembley. If we made an offer, I'd bet it was just to piss Fulham off after they refused to reverse the fixtures earlier this season.
We were briefly linked with Mitrovic when he was still at Anderlecht, but that was a.) Four years ago b.) A time his transfer fee and wage demands would be lower c.) Numerous examples of being a complete sociopath on the pitch, both for Newcastle and Fulham
So it's been mentioned that, when The Sheikh Mansour Team were tapping up Kyle Walker, our first demand was £40m + Jadon Sancho Why do I get the feeling that, if they accepted that bid, the media coverage of him would be very different?
Given what he cost Dortmund (and buyback clause ?? ) , shows you how sh*t scared they are of the Pochettino England player effect.
Given the reports of expecting us to pay at least four times what they were asking Dortmund for his services, it really does show something is rotten in the state of Abu Dhabi
