Absolutely. It'd be just the kind of news we need about now.

According to tabloids, Spurs will listen to offers for Dembele and Wanyama in January <laugh>

That would leave us with Winks, Dier and Sissoko in centre midfield.

Let’s hope it’s the usual gossip.

If you add in Sissoko, that sounds about right. Big Vic's got a chronic knee problem, Mousa's best days are behind him and Sissoko is.......well.......Sissoko.

Wanyama looks set to be replaced by Barrios if this (supposedly) respected South American journalist is to be believed:

The post translated to English says:
The fate of Wilmar #Barrios is England, the @spursofficial put Primera and has everything agreed with the Colombian representative to follow his career there.
The offer of the English club to the offices of the club is falling. 23 M Euros for the totality of your pass

If we do bring in Barrios, one thing does need to be stressed: he'll be coming off a full season for Boca, so just like Sandro when he arrived off the back of Internacional's run in the Copa America, don't expect him to be a fixture in the starting xi straight away

In terms of outgoings, as I saw mention in the PSV match thread that Dembele doesn't think he can hack the Premier League anymore, am I alone in seeing the benefits of a Dembele for Rabiot swap deal? Both will be in the last six months of their contracts so it makes sense, and PSG will surely be interested in a deal that keeps the FFP police off their backs - and with Ligue 1 having a reputation based more on technique than physicality, Moose would certainly have another 18 months at the upper end of European football while playing in the CL and getting paid well to do so. So the obvious question is...what's going to throw a spanner into the works of that one?

Not a sign of Lennoning, either. He looks genuinely happy. Good luck to him.

Yeah I liked Bassong, really crucial signing at the time as we were having problems at CB via injuries. Don't think anyone will forget his debut either. Good luck to him, surprised Prem clubs never circled him once Norwich were relegated, a lot better than some of the dross that's played in the - and still playing - in the Prem.

Been taking notice of Ben Chilwell lately and currently watching the Leicester vs West Ham game.

He could definitely do a job here and with Poch's record with English full backs, could be a great move for him and us. Rose is constantly picking up injuries these days and Davies' form has massively dipped this season, maybe a swap deal with one of them?

  14. Maddison was being lauded as a possible target. Bloody hope not on this performance <doh>

I quite like him but I said over on the Prem board to a Leicester fan at the start of the season that he's a luxury player. He's great when the team are playing well but don't be expecting him to put a shift in when required. He wouldn't cut it here under Poch's style, Lamela would probably end up punching him for his lack of effort at tracking back.

Chilwell has a lot of potential.

Can’t see Leicester selling him for anything except silly money though.

Yeah he definitely wouldn't come cheap, especially now he's in the England fold. There might be a bit leverage though if we offer a LB in return but it still wouldn't be easy to nab him.
