Very fair statement from them. I'm personally not a huge fan of the THST, I don't think they're strong enough in meetings (judging by whenever I've read minutes) and some of the decisions they've agreed too in recent years has left me royally pissed off - mostly notably the ballot system in the last season at WHL, a number of my mates who weren't ST holders at the time missed out on a lot of tickets, I don't think it was fair that day trippers had as much chance of a ticket than a long term member who's been going to games for years and on the ST waiting list. Though what they've said in that statement is true. I'm not massively arsed about no signings, I do feel the club has missed a massive opportunity by not making a marquee signing to go with the new stadium (still waiting, @Spurlock ) but ultimately I like our squad, even if I do feel it can be improved. Having said that, the statement about prices is something I massively agree with. Why have Spurs charged me over £200 extra for my ST this season if the money isn't actually being put towards transfers which they initially tried implying?
They'll come out and say the money went towards improved contracts to Kane and a.n.other. Which doesn't fly now considering we have a bigger stadium than what, everyone but Utd (?), our season tickets are one of the highest and we still have a lower wage bill than teams with a similar sized stadium
We had increased gate receipts from last season too. So it's not as if an increase there hasn't already been realised.
Well, I can't say that was enjoyable but was a pleasure to be back for a bit. Onwards to the new season, new stadium and new top 4 finish with no trophies Can't wait to see Sissoko and Aurier in action. Hahahahahahahaha Peace out brothers.
Can’t say that I’m not massively disappointed that we’ve not signed a CM. In previous windows we ideally have needed 3-4 players, and always knew it was never going to happen. But this summer it felt like that 1 player we needed to add some real quality was really achievable, and all of our efforts would go into finding that player. I’m astonished we haven’t managed to strengthen in some way during this window. It doesn’t bode well for the this coming January, and we may as well not have a transfer thread for it! Great news that we’ve (so far) kept all of our best players, but I’m not counting my chickens yet. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rose and Alderwiereld still leave for Europe. And the icing on the cake will be Martial. Someone we were supposedly after all summer, will no doubt head abroad now.
Here's the thing the THST don't realise about this comment: they've given the club one hell of an out as they can simply point to Kane and Poch's new contracts as evidence of wages being competitive, so therefore justify the price hike.
that avatars not even that bad. I could have picked out some much better ones. @Spurlock might not have liked the one i would have picked out though
Exactly...I had to consider all things...after all I'm not a Spurs hating Chav. Eric is my bwai...his just needs tough love from Spurlock
Talking of Avatars not liked, this one was chosen by @AKCJ due to a lost bet (Ali would do less diving than Vardy last season). It will last for a month and no more. I can only apologise.
