Don Balon are reporting that Los Ladrones are offering us Gareth Bale in exchange for Christian Eriksen I'm going to hazard a guess that, two weeks and a new contract for Eriksen later, Levy will call them and suggest maybe a swap deal involving Alderweireld instead...
Not a current transfer story but a very interesting account of Dele's move from MK and particularly, the part played by David Pleat's scouting... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...m-splash-5million-sign-Dele-Alli-MK-Dons.html
De Ligt Watch Oh boy, time to get your hopes up again... On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being Baldini and 10 being Levy, where would signing De Ligt for cash + Edwards + a season-long loan for Foyth rank?
A Foyth + Edwards + cash deal sounds a good one. Foyth's got real talent but he's nowhere near ready to play PL football, in my opinion. I saw him live a couple of times last season and he needs a loan somewhere. Edwards is in a similar position. Neither are ready for us but could really flourish at Ajax. In any event, I expect us to sign De Ligt.........he's a young talented Ajax player, it's what we do.
What would be really brave (if the Toby saga is salvageable) would be to : 1. do a "land grab" on de Ligt (immediate loan back) 2. loan Foyth (build more goodwill with Ajax etc) 3. loan Edwards
On the plus side, a few weeks ago the BBC Gossip page was confidently proclaiming he'd be a Man Utd player next season...
SPORT are reporting that Barcelona could use Rafinha to bring about a deal for Christian Eriksen. What next, Madrid choose AVB as manager to encourage Spurs to swap with Pochettino?
So there I was, busily re-reading Coriolanus in preparation for my upcoming A Level English marking, when all of a sudden I came across this sentence: Rome and her rats are at the point of battle; The one side must have bale. (Act I Scene i Lines 157-158) So I was busy wondering if we were that "one side", when a little later on I found this sentence: …… bring me word thither How the world goes, that to the pace of it I may spur on my journey. (Act I Scene x Llines 31-33) And all I can say is it's a good thing I don't believe in omens and stuff, or I'd be getting carried away with the excitement of it!
