What does "confirmed" mean ?? That they really don't know as much as they claim to ?? "United have offered £70m for Alderweireld. If true, that's a lot of money." Not 75m though, is it.
You could ask them yourself... http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/new-to-itk-veteran-2018-rules-please-read.131299/
Aset of rules defining how they expect ITKs to be worshipped, not how their credibility is decided. And on that matter, about the same time you made your posting : http://football-talk.co.uk/139095/m...-70m-deal-as-mourinho-closes-in-on-top-target That makes me (via newsnow - via the article - via the Belgian "news source" ) "confitmed" ITK.
It’s ridiculous that they want Toby from a rival team, but seem very reluctant to sell to a rival when it comes to Martial, though. If they’re not gonna play ball and give us the part of the deal that we want, we should just sell him abroad after the world cup. Getting an extra 20m from United May mean nothing bearing in mind how much he could improve their defence. On another note, anyone watching soccer aid? If the DOF leaves, can we sign Mark Wright? He’s quality!
I refer you to my...............................................................................................Oh, what's the point?
£70m is excellent money for a 29 year old guy with essentially one proper year left on his contract. It'd be disappointing to see him go, especially to a league rival but ultimately when the finances are that good it's natural for the club to consider and likely accept it.
It's natural for Levy to consider and likely accept. He could double his wage again next year and **** the team
According to some (unconfirmed) ITKs, doubling his current wage would be around what he is being offered this summer to extend his current contract.
MP went to bat for Alderweireld and got agreement from Daniel Levy to £130k per week to have Toby ask for £200k. Any trust and confidence between them died right there. From that moment on, his departure was assured. Get as much money as we can and invest elsewhere. There's only 3 or 4 clubs in the world that could claim to being immune from having players poached by more money elsewhere and even Barca had Neymar taken from them; United lost Ronaldo and had committed to selling de Gea to Madrid, who are now sniffing around Neymar themselves.
According to (unconfirmed) ITKs, Toby then demanded a wage far higher than that. Which has led to a possible sale to Man Utd. However, said (unconfirmed) ITKs have also claimed that Man Utd have said eff off to giving Toby that wage.
That's just about how I see it, except I think one of our big signings is Moura. We hardly played him last year, and I think he's a great talent. So I'm against getting any new attacking players (other than youth) on the theory that even if we play a 4-3-3 against good teams, we couldn't play either Moura or Lamela, and that's without taking into account we could play Dele up front. I don't want to buy a backup striker or any other attacking players on the grounds that our AMs were so good last year we scored more when the best striker in the world didn't play. Against most teams: Kane + 2/3 of Son, Moura & Lamela Eriksen Dier/Wanyama Dele Against top teams, something with two of Wanyama/Dier/Dembele replacement (?) I'd rather we get a top LB, probably a top #8 (depends how much faith we have in Dele and Eriksen farther back, and Winks as well), plus a few young players. I think I'd go for Grealish if we could get him for under 20 million, though. Even though he isn't a top #8, he could become one, he's almost young, and he's home grown.
Dan Kilpatrick, writing in The Standard, that Dele Alli is about to sign a £100k per week contract. It's been said by the 'ITK's' on Spurs Community , that he's already signed it. At which point this is probably The Standard jumping the gun and an official announcement is likely in the near future.
Remember how, last week, the Standard reported that we were preparing to offer Harry Kane a new contract - approximately two hours before it was announced he'd signed a new contract we'd obviously offered him days (if not weeks) in advance?
