Just googled him...sounds like 'one for the future' or you reckon he's straight in the first team? Straight in the first team is the only way you win the bet
If we're gonna bid £60m as reports say I reckon he'll be straight into the XI somehow, no idea for who though. Very young but already one of the best players in the Bundesliga.
Today's obvious hacketry: 101 Great Goals' headline screaming that Eriksen didn't show up for training with Denmark yesterday. It took until the third paragraph before it mentioned he was in Odense for the birth of his child. Meanwhile, today's player looking to force a move (according to the Grauniad) is Marcus Edwards.
Damn shame in one way but also unsurprising. Both Poch and Farke have mentioned the same problems with attitude and it’s seemigly something he’s not going to work on. Looks like your Shashoua prediction is near enough coming to fruition, providing he does eventually breakthrough.
I don't know the kid and I'm certainly not going to slate him. He's still very young but it's no coincidence that the young players who have carved out a future for themselves at the club have the capability to do what's asked of them - Harry Kane and Harry Winks from the Academy [and Ryan Mason who opted to leave], as well as Eric Dier and Dele who were bought in from outside The ones that leave [Andros Townsend, Bentaleb and maybe Edwards] seem not to be able to follow orders and have had 'attitude issues' alleged against them. You can act like that when the crowd are chanting your name and you're he first name on the team sheet. If you're struggling to make the current Norwich bench, despite having amazing talent, then it might be worth the lad's while to have a re-think. Maybe some time abroad would be good for him. We used to send young players out to Sweden to get them to mature a bit. Whether on loan or a permanent transfer, it could be a good thing? It'll be a terrible waste if he doesn't sort himself out and have a good career.
I'm wondering if Onomah might be headed the same way, due to a combination of him wanting to play CM but always ending up played further up the pitch by various managers, coupled with Skipp being seen as a long-term prospect in central midfield while Oakley-Boothe was on the fringes of the squad at various points last season Then again, it always seems to be that way with our youngsters: in the Redknapp/AVB era it was expected that Caulker, Townsend, Carroll and Coulibaly would all become long-term members of the first team yet it was Kane and (to a lesser degree) Mason who broke through, and a couple of years later Pritchard and Veljkovic were expected to make it only for Winks to come through instead - so from that standpoint it's certainly not a surprise that Edwards hasn't made it while Onomah and CCV are in some perpetual limbo between the U23s and first team.
Apparently Johnny Evans is going to Leicester and a deal has been agreed, so that’s another we can quite happily rule out. Phew.
Certainly could've been a good Naybet-esque signing, filling in for some games while also mentoring Foyth and CCV
Not sure that we need that, due to Vertoghen's presence, but I also don't think that Evans would suit our system. Will probably do well with Leicester's counter-attacking style.
Probably right, but for the money involved and given his experience, he'd be worth having in any team's squad
Totally agree. He’s also an extra body that eats into our very tight wage structure, where we could use that money elsewhere.
