Yet another nasty Spurs 606 poster (this time not seeing the desperate squad injury crisis that Citeh now have in attack) .
Ben Wilmot Watch So we've got conflicting reports that we either a.) Made a bid for him, albeit one where we offered £850k while Stevenage held out for £1m b.) Haven't made an offer for him c.) Apparently got bored, given the lack of updates in the past two weeks d.) We've actually agreed a deal, but we're keeping it quiet so we can announce Moura first (which is pure speculation on my part, but also quite similar to how our deals panned out last summer so don't rule it out)
Apparently, Moura is having his medical at Hotspur Way right now! Hope security is on the look out for any suspicious looking Chavs!
Pep stated on the weekend that he needed 22 players in his squad to win everything - but said not even Man $ity can afford that ! Really ?? So what has occurred today is normal hmm....
Dortmund want a replacement for Aub. After watching tonight's game maybe Aub will have second thoughts and we could do a swap loan deal: Aub for Nando
My apologies. I'd forgotten momentarily that Pep rides a unicorn, heals the blind and pisses single malt.
Naaw it has to be a blend. One with plenty of front end but an iffy after taste. Nothing to back up the flashy front. Not Johnny Walker but a Kyle of Lochalsh.
So, deadline day is here. Moura is all but done with an announcement expected. Apparently he’s currently choosing between squad number 8 and 27. That announcement is blatantly being held back to keep the fans sweet when the rumours of other players emerge today and they inevitably fall through! Think we’ll get anyone else today? If we do, I think it’ll be someone from the premier league who doesn’t have to travel far for medicals etc. I know they can be done abroad, but in recent windows when we’d swooped late, the domestic approach seems to have worked out for us better. (In terms of us actually making the signing that is, not necessarily the quality of the player). I can see a late swoop for the likes of Rondon, Richarlison, Rodriguez etc. (Not just restricted to players whose surnames start with “R”, obviously).
Our Belgian contingent should be engaged to convince Batshuayi that he would get plenty of game time at Spurs. It’s only the fact that we have no suitable alternative that means Kane is over-used and thus can be lacklustre every now and then.
If we do make any late swoops, I'd be happy with one or two from a division or two below us. Some upcoming gems of the likes of Dele would do nicely. A decent backup goalscorer would be golden.
Just a random thought. If Sky can send someone to stalk every training ground, why can't Not606 - is there anyone out there that wants to hang around Hotspur Way all day in case something happens ? . You won't get paid or appear on TV but be doing a service to us in cyberland, any takers?
Looks like Giroud to Chelsea is happening. Well done Arsenal, strengthening two rivals in one window. Magnificent achievement
