Certainly gave us more in his short time than others we could mention. His attitude was excellent and experience was valuable.
According to various feeds on Twitter, Lucas Moura has: • said his farewells to various PSG teammates • agreed personal terms with THFC over a proposed transfer • has signed a 4 year contract with THFC (TBC next week) Clubs now have to agree a fee, with PSG wanting around €25m. So it's bound to fall through
There's a lot of talk going around that Poch would rather wait until the summer and bid for Malcolm but Levy is pushing the Moura bid as he is significantly cheaper (yes the wages are higher but if Malcolm ends up at a big PL side he'll be on 70k minimum too so not much difference). I've seen two other reasons given as well: - Levy predicts a bidding war over Malcolm in the summer and we'll inevitably be priced out of a move. - Levy is very much in favour of establishing solid ties with PSG. The latter one is intriguing and makes a lot of sense. Very, very few of our players would be tempted to play in a league as weak as Ligue 1, unless they are money-obsessed. So any 'special relationship' with the glamour club wouldn't descend into the feeder club farce we had to endure with Real. Levy predicts correctly that as PSG become increasingly Galactico they'll be forced to sell off some pretty decent players rather quickly and rather cheaply to avoid FFP and a dressing room mutiny. Aurier was the first of these, Lucas M is next and by all accounts Javi Pastore will follow sooner rather than later. Levy therefore sees Moura as a short-term gain plus a long-term investment. Win-win.
Nobody's shooting is as bad as Andros'[not even the non-Denmark Christian Eriksen] but every time I see Moura play, I'm struck by how much the two are very similar. He doesn't seem an obvious MP pick but that could be a good thing.
Hearing that it's close but still a bridge worth £5m that needs to be crossed. Personal terms agreed. I hope the bald man is in the mood of crossing bridges as quibbling over that amount when the teams we're aiming to compete with spend 10 times that amount without blinking means we lack the necessary ambition. Fingers crossed we can get this done by the end of the weekend.
Setting us up for a massive let down if it doesn’t happen now!! Bloody hope we get him. Despite the concerns he’s been unwanted at PSG recently, he looks a serious talent - and just what we need. YouTube can be deceptive, but one thing that stands out for me is his willingness to stay on his feet. Seems not to have the usual gravitational issues that seem to prevail across the game.
Hopefully some good news to come regarding Moura! Seems that it’s close. I don’t believe anything these days until I see a player holding up a spurs shirt, but there was a few journo’s i followed in the summer who were pretty accurate at the time, and didn’t spout **** for retweets and likes. Their info actually turned out to be pretty good. They are saying similar things again, so fingers crossed. On a different note, please can you all just vote for Sissoko?
I beg to differ, every corner flag was petrified when they saw Jason (Pineapple-head) Lee on a team-sheet.
WTF should Spurs be forced to pay a million quid for a medically certified bite puncture-free gum shield ??
