Cesar Luis Merlo claims that Racing Club have opened negotiations to buy Alejo Veliz He also claims Rosario Central want to loan him, though that's likely to be rejected as we're looking to sell
German Garcia Grova says that Racing Club's offer for Alejo Veliz is $5m for 60% of his rights, though we're asking for the initial proposal to be modified, presumably on the front end Meanwhile, in other news... Vulture Watch Olympique Lyonnais Literally the entire squad, as they've just been forcibly relegated from Ligue 1 due to their debts Wait, you want specifics? Fine... Georges Mikautadze (CF, 24yo, Georgia, contracted until 2028) Said Benrahma...already ****ed off to the Oilfields Rayan Cherki...already ****ed off to the Mansourites Thiago Almada (AM, 24yo, Argentina...and was on loan from Botafogo) Malick Fofana (LW, 20yo, Belgium, contracted until 2028) Duje Caleta-Car (CB, 28yo, Croatia, contracted until 2028) Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RB, 27yo, England, contracted until 2027, would royally **** off Nomad fans) Alejandro Gomez Rodriguez (CF, 17yo, England/Venezuela, contracted until 2027, came through Southampton's academy if that helps)
According to some remarkably low tier Italian sources, Jonathan David would cost us £30m to sign on a free: £10m signing fee, £20m to his agent
Bit late on the topic but Eze is the absolute no brainer of no brainers for a signing. Prem proven, quality player now in the prime years of his career. If we can bag him plus two or three of similar ilk we go from a decent team to a ****ing a problem. As for Takai, don’t know anything about him but sometimes that’s the charm in football. I’m always for going for the potential stars of tomorrow so long as they’re accompanied by the stars of now. 2-3 Takai’s and 3-4 Eze’s is the ideal window for a club like us.
Is Takai 100% done? If so, why did he play 90 minutes for Kawasaki Frontale earlier today? They won 3-1, conceding a 95th minute consolation against Albirex Niigata.
Alasdair Gold has dropped a few hints about how our loans may pan out - We've rebuffed a loan offer for Jamie Donley from an unnamed club - West Brom are interested in loaning Will Lankshear for the whole season (hmm, wonder if their manager knows anything about him...?) - George Abbott will be loaned if a suitable offer is made, which likely means League One clubs at the bare minimum ...also, since I don't think it's worth a separate post, there's a few speculative articles flying about suggesting that Takai's arrival means we'll cash in on Vuskovic this summer. Errm...do any of these hacks know Dragusin is out for the first couple of months of the season?
Another issue with David right now is he's at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which runs for another couple of weeks and you'd expect Canada to reach the semis at the very least ...all while wondering when the **** Saudi Arabia became a member of CONCACAF, considering they're in the tournament
I’d be surprised if we loan Vuscovic out . Firstly he needs to stay at the club for a couple of years to become club trained and as you say Dragusin is out for a long time. Think we will go into the season with Romero, VDV, Danso , Takai and Vuscovic.
The most obvious thing with Vuskovic is we're actively trying to get him CG status, so talk of selling him makes no sense
And the most important fact he’s so highly rated, clubs will have their eye on him already. Spurs need to handle him correctly
Metz are ending their relationship with Generation Foot Generation Foot are the top academy in Senegal, which produced (among others) Pape Matar Sarr, Sadio Mane, Papisse Cisse, Diafra Sakho and Ismaila Sarr (as well as, like, half of Metz's current squad) Might be worth investigating...
I think that we can register him, loan him out and it still counts towards the CG years. Any idea why they've decided to end what would appear to be a rather fruitful relationship?
Apparently David is Juve bound and his replacement is going to be Hamza Igamane from Rangers (according to Clyde 1 superscore board)
