It's been almost more entertaining than the actual match, watching rival fans attempt to move the goal posts just because the winning shoe is on a Tottenham foot. How many times have we heard, about Man U especially, that 'champions win when they are playing badly'. When we do it, 'we didn't beat anyone.'? Also, it's all about winning things, now we have a trophy, according to Darren Bent, 'it's not all about trophies.'?!? Make it make sense.
Yep hearing fans say they’d rather finish 2nd than win a European trophy. It definitely wasn’t that case when Spurs were finishing 2nd was it
Tis not about any one particular matter. Tis about all of them occurring together in "when the stars are right" manner. Won one of the domestic trophies ?? Who cares. Won the EL2 ?? Who cares ?? Won the EL (and thus qualifying for the CL) ?? After finishing one above the relegation places ?? While playing one of the worst 2nd half seasons seen by an alleged top-flight club ?? < Hoes mad >
Vulture Watch And with perfect timing, now it's time to look at teams who missed out on European football so might need the money or have players with itchy feet A German Team Ko Itakura (CB/DM, 28yo, Japan, contracted until 2026) Girona Bryan Gil (LW, 24yo, Spain...wait a minute) Miguel Gutierrez (LWB, 24yo, Spain, contracted until 2027) Hoffenheim Adam Hlozek (AM/CF, 22yo, Czech, contracted until 2029) Gift Orban (CF, 22yo, Nigeria, contracted until 2029, remember when Spurs fans were going nuts we didn't sign him two years ago...?) Lazio Mattia Zaccagni (LW, 29yo, Italy, contracted until 2029) Nuno Tavareres (was on loan from the Nomads) Valentin Castellanos (CF, 26yo, Argentina, contracted until 2028) Milan Santiago Gimenez (CF, 24yo, Mexico, contracted until 2029) Mike Maignan (GK, 29yo, France, contracted until 2026) Fiyako Tomori (CB, 27yo, England, contracted until 2027) Tijjani Reijnders (CM/AM, 26yo, Holland, contracted until 2030) Theo Hernandez (LB, 27yo, France, contracted until 2026) The Stretford Bottle Boys Bruno Fernandes (AM/CM, 30yo, Portugal, contracted until 2027) Kobbie Mainoo (CM, 20yo, England, contracted until 2027) Manuel Ugarte (DM, 24yo, Uruguay, contracted until 2029) Matthijs de Ligt (CB, 25yo, Holland, contracted until 2029) Amad Diallo (RW, 22yo, Ivory Coast, contracted until 2030) Alejandro Garnacho (AM, 20yo, Argentina, contracted until 2028, seems really pissed off with Amorim right now) Olympique Marseille Amine Gouiri (AM/CF, 25yo, France, contracted until 2029) Last season's top scorer (is a ****ing rapist) Pierre Emile Hojbjerg (oh right...) Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB, 27yo, DR Congo, contracted until 2031) Wolfsburg Mohammed Amoura (LW, 25yo, Algeria, contracted until...****, was on loan from Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise) Jonas Wind (AM/CF, 26yo, Denmark, contracted until 2026)
Tomori might be a decent shout, as he's rumoured to be available fairly cheaply. Hernandez would be too, but he's supposed to be off to Saudi for the cash.
Seth Macomber says we're in talks with New England Revolution about their 17 year old left back Peyton Miller Interesting this is his stats make him look a lot like a left-sided Porro in terms of passing and dribbling, though the eyeball test shows he's a line-hugging FB who looks to cross Obvious issue right now is he doesn't turn 18 until November, though given our academy apparently hasn't found a single fullback since KWP colour me intrigued
God knows but shows how far his career has fallen. He’s won big trophies and still a good age with international experience yet to be available for that price is crazy.
Bilge claim that Leroy Sane isn't interested in joining, and would rather join the Woolwich Bottlejobs Clearly lacks the mentality we're after
Bugger, looks like Fraudiola reads this forum: the Mansourites are in negotiations with Milan for Tijjani Reijnders, according to Romano
Wage poisoning is the problem (thank you Sugga Daddy FCs) . No matter what level the transfer fee drops to, if a player has been gorging at the wage trough for long enough, they are not going to readily stop.
After Mason was confirmed as WBA manager I keep getting WBA tweets flash up on my timeline (****ing algorithm!) and a few that have recently popped up are supposedly WBA ITKs claiming Ryan wants to take Moore on loan next season and that Moore is keen. If true I think that’s a great move, he should get a decent amount of game time especially under Ryan and with us being in the CL this coming season, I struggle to see where we can give Moore a solid amount of minutes. Better to get (hopefully) 30+ games with WBA than sporadic chances likely in the domestic cups with us.
Moore definitely needs a loan next season for his development. It’s likely he will have Tel / Sonny / Odebert in front of him next season and who knows we may also sign Eze. Tbh I’d love to see Mason take a few more kids that he knows well with him to the baggies next season . Any of Devine / Donnely / Dorrington/ Abbott / Keeley / Ajayi.
Devine reportedly said he does not want another loan this coming season At the very least that's one less thing to worry about regarding CG players for the CL squad
